Hammy's are tricky. He could be out awhile. Kupp (see I've learned my lesson), is 30 and that's getting up there for a WR.
The 30 thing is a cliche that doesn’t necessarily hold true, particularly for WRs who are not pure speed guys. Look at the post-30 numbers of guys like Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Largent and Hines Ward, for example.

Kupp needs to figure out this hamstring thing. If he does, his age won’t stop him from having several more productive years.

I pulled a hamstring running bases when I was about that age. A few days later I felt nothing. Until I went to cross a street and started into a jog. It literally grabbed my leg right when I increased my step from walk to run. Took about a month till I could run bases again. And I don't run for a living like Kupp. Hamstrings are tricky. Sometimes they heal fast. Sometimes they don't.

I hurt my hammy water skiing. Took about a year till it felt right again.

The month thing for me was probably because I was never a fast runner. So I don't put the kind of pressure Kupp does on his hammy. I won't say how slow I was back then but if I raced a pregnant woman I'd probably come in 3rd.

It seems that there's enough speculation here to cover all the bases, except as to the doctor.
So . . .

With the talk about understanding the problem and reference to "body specialist", a Physiatrist seems to fit.
It's not just any Physiatrist, but a "noted" one in Minnesota according to Rapp's tweet.

Speculation on this guy:
He is an internationally and nationally-recognized specialist

And the fact that he's a Non-Sugical Sports Medicine Specialist is a plus.

Oh, I remember those days the Braves with Dale Murphy, Dusty Baker, Bruce Sutter, Darrell Evans, Phil Niekro, Bob Horner and Ron Gant. Although, the Braves had some great players they always had trouble beating the Dodger back then. Apparently not true anymore.
Dusty Baker was traded to the Dodgers in November 1975.

He never played with Dale Murphy

It’s not really mumbo jumbo. Pastoors invested in Kupp and they want to determine the source of his recurring hamstring issues. McVay has said as much in interviews.

It’s probably just going to be ice, heat and stretching with an optional end of year surgery to scope and move the hamstring tendons away from the sciatic nerve. All injuries there will cause discomfort (either glute or lower back pain too) because it’s so close to the sciatic. All of our physiology is slightly different and millimeters of tendons and muscles make a difference.

I honestly expect him back week three.

The Rams have good depth at WR this year. I think Skowronek will have to step up his game even more. Demarcus Robinson is faster and about the same size. Speed isn't everything, but it increases the WRs versatility and the types of routes he can run. Demarcus runs fast enough to run the full route tree, Skowronek is like a fast TE and is best when played like a TE out of the slot.

Puka and Jefferson are interchangeable as both can play all three WR positions. With Kupp out I see Jefferson staying at X with Puka moving to Z and Atwell with Skowronek / Robinson all rotating out of the slot. If they are running I can see Puka playing the slot with Skowronek or Robinson at Z.

Puka also gives them the option of putting him in motion and then using him as a lead blocker between the tackles. The Rams will miss Kupp but they certainly have options.

Ehh - I have been saying all year that our pitching is going to hamper us once we play teams with great pitching
That series easily could have gone 3-1 LA. And really nothing that happens now has a bearing on what happens in OCT. I think Philly beats ATL again....

Rick Monday homer!
I called Rick Monday's homer against Montreal in the playoffs

I was at college and I told my college roommate. Whenever a pitcher gets behind on Rick Monday, he will hit it hard.

I bet he hits a home run here.

After the home run, my roommate looked at me in disbelief.

I don't think there is any way he plays Sunday - I actually hope he goes to IR designated to return, which IIRC, is a minimum of 4 weeks. Sorry, we are not beating Seattle, SF or Bengals (despite my rabid screaming and hope and support) - let him rest and not get beat to shit as our only offensive weapon.
Plus imo Stafford needs to lose his dependence on Kupp for awhile, and elevate the othe WRs.

Would love to win those games without him. But I'm being realistic and unless we get really lucky I don't see it happening.

But then again I also felt that way before game 1 in 1999.

I’m predicting that the Rams will win against Seattle, and Van will still run his regular game day assignments, only as WR1 and Tutu will still run his regular game day assignments, only as WR2, but Puka will be run most of the routes that would have been called for Kupp, only as WR3. However don’t be surprised, depending on how Seattle chooses to defend against the Ram’s WRs, if Puka ends up with the most receiving yards
