This is just another example of Jaws proving what an idiot he is. His statement about SackorPick being the greatest of all time has already been listed... but this one tops that if you're asking me.

If we used his logic to measure what makes a HC good... there wouldn't be ANY. Let me make this perfectly clear... NO NFL HC is making chicken salad out of chicken shit. It's impossible. You either find one of the needles in the haystack or you don't. Who are the HCs that are developing NFL QBs anyway?

Jay Gruden is the one that comes to mind for me. He certainly can claim some amount of success with Dalton and Cousins... but look at what he did to RGme. Shouldn't he have to take a big chunk of responsibility for his complete collapse. Hell yeah.

Best QB guru I can think of is Mad Mike... and he can't buy an NFL job.

Fisher is the head coach. It is his responsibility to hire staff and draft to develop a QB. He has not even come close.

Well, I mean, if it was that easy, wouldn't every HC be able to draft and develop a QB? Cleveland has been trying for a galactic year to do it, and that's with several different head coaches, coordinators, QB coaches, and front office staff. Chicago just kind of meanders around with Cutler not really being able to better their situation. Seattle was garbage before they drafted Governor Shortpants. Miami hasn't done anything since the departure of Marino. Buffalo always has a stout defense, but they can't draft the magic QB either. The Cowboys' success is directly tethered to Romo, and when he's out what happens? Arizona, historically, can only win with Palmer or Warner, and so on.

Everyone has the perfect hindsight solution, but they felt they had their QB in Bradford - and might have if he didn't tear his knee up a second time. After the first incident, everyone claims they should have drafted their replacement, but when does that ever happen? If Rodgers tears his ACL this year, will the Packers go out and draft a QB high? What if Wilson tore his last year? Would Seattle now be in the hunt for a first round QB? Bottom line is, shit happened and they scrambled to make the best of it by unloading his contract and picking up a former Pro-Bowl QB and a 2nd rounder in return. That's the best situation anyone could hope for. Not their fault that Foles couldn't thrive in a different situation. There's no way they could have foreseen that. I figure this year they get it right and all of this speculation about how shitty Fisher is will subside.

Everyone saw how the Horns were a different team when a healthy Sam was at helm as opposed to his backups. Is there anyone here who honestly feels the Horns did not have a real shot at making the playoffs in the 2013-2014 had Sam remained healthy? If they had done so with a healthy Sam, everyone would be talking about how great a coach Fish is---some might even be inspired to apply the term 'genius,'---for taking what was arguably the NFL's worst team and turning them completely around.

I have no illusions about Jeff. He knows defense and special teams, but he's weak with respect to offense. I am very sorry he has problems trusting innovative offensive minds because that's what he needs to complete this team reversal.

Not only did Jaws rave about Kaepernick he also said back when Smith and Rogers were drafted, that essentially Smith was the real deal and Rogers jusr has a chance to be a starter...something along those lines. I saw that on one of those shows where they recounted that draft and they showed all the talking heads talking about Rogers as he sat there waiting to get picked. And Jaws was one of the more critical guys on Rogers while raving about Smith.

On a factual basis:
Fisher won 7 games in his first year and hasn't improved that in the following 3 seasons.
The offense, despite a credible run game each year has been at the bottom each season.
Only 1 coach in the last 50 years began his tenure with a team with 4 straight losing seasons and kept his job. (Fired during season 5)
Other teams have turned around awful seasons in to winning ones, even without star QB. Houston last year started what? 4 QB? Won games with Brandon Weeden and TJ Yates at QB?
.Now to interject some hyperbole of my own, I don't think Fisher would argue with anything that I stated. I certainly don't believe he's satisfied either. I like the moves that were made with the coaching staff this off season and look forward to seeing Gurley and our O-line grow.
I don't cast aspertions at those happy Fisher is still the coach, but just the same, I don't see how Jaworski is so heavily criticized for saying some truthful although painful statements. Well, I don't know about all that. I know that I haven't made any exaggerated statements or claims that are not meant to be taken literally (which is what hypberbole is). Like you, I offered my opinion based on what I believe to be the case. I don't think anyone could reasonably discount what I said about the QB situation on this team and its correlation around the league.

I do because Jaws is wrong. Fisher is not an 'Aweful' coach. Look at the team. He brought it from ashes to having a good defensive roster, great RB, rising Oline and he needs a QB and a WR. It was the worst roster in football in decades. It was atrocious. Now I felt he should have been worried about Sam and taken Bortles. I fully endorsed that and wish he had the vision to do so, but.........he held out hope that his QB that was playing well the year before would get healthy. So, what is he really guilty of? Not getting a better back up? Thinking, like many other teams that their QB will stay healthy. Look at the Cowboys and Romo? Look at the Cardinals and Palmer. Some people here are lauding the Cardinals and Arians for a quick turn around what happened when Palmers knee went out? They were shit. GIve Fisher a good QB, not great and then judge where he is at.

BTW I stand behind my belief that getting a new coach now would be a disaster. Trying to plug a new staff into this move is asking for more problems where there will already be problems as it is.

I'll throw in here that as a news guy Jaws is not doing himself any favors. I am guessing he was back on the sauce and drunk when he made that comment because the LA Rams could easily become the NFLs media darlings in the next few seasons because the NFL is trying to Sell the Rams to LA fans. Having a shill like Jaws flapping his most always wrong gums about Fisher being aweful doesn't play into the plan very well. Throw in that Fisher wont be too happy and I doubt he wont forget it. If there is success in Fishers future then I bet he will have some Jaws jabs tucked away for that perfect moment.

Well, I don't know, but the ability to nurture young QBs is usually coveted among the "hot" coaching candidates in a given year. It was how Whisenhunt, Trestman, Shurmer, Harbaugh, etc. made the leap to HC.

Fisher is a former DC and defensive minded HC, I wouldn't expect him to be able to do it.

Rams had that terrible September in 2013 and had to scrap their scheme and start over.

2014 was rough on the offensive line; lost their starting LT and had persistent problems with the other positions

The oft-cited obstacles to success for Sam were still there, whether he was on the field or not.

Well, he inherited Quinn, Sims, JL, SJ, Bradford, Saffold, Kendricks....the Rams were in rough shape but frankly, Spags in 09 had it worse.

Flying without a net. It was clear to them they needed an LT after Jake Long tore his ACL the first time, just not sure why QB was in their blind spot.
