I don’t think anyone else has mentioned this. If our defender had delayed touching their player down, for less than a second, the clock would have run out with no time for a field goal! I believe it was Durant :-)

It so that’s going to get talked about in team meetings
You dont have to be touched by a defender if you are giving up on the play. Now had someone been close enough to tackle him, it would have been different

It's a beautiful morning!!! The Rams have control of their own destiny in the NFC West. They still have a lot to prove with 7 games remaining...but THE SUN IS SHINING RIGHT NOW!!!

KW was THE MAN on offense 12 rushes for 91!!!

Circle the rematch at Seattle week 16...it will be significant!!!

The main concern I had was coming off the big 9er win, the Rams could have been flat. The offense wasn't at their best...and it seemed McVay closed the play book to the TEs somewhat...but he now has a good feel for the Seattle defense for the next one!!!

For now:

RAMS...1st place NFC WEST!!!

Well our D got a lot of TV time for sure allowing Seattle's offense to be on the field for 38 minutes compared to our 22 minutes. Thank god for the four crappy passes.

Stafford get's the game ball... he fought through some pretty bad play by his offense and terrible play calling McScatterBrain.
So then both the defense and offense played like shit, McVay sucked, and the only reason the Rams won against what was the hottest team in the league is because of 4 crappy passes. Got it. You’re just a ray of sunshine.

I think its time to roll out the 12 personal. Primarily using Allen and Ferg.

Taking Puka or Davante off the field makes no sense.

Also, Kyren needs a much larger role. Spell him but dont split him

But back to the celebration

The rams will have to adjust against better defenses in the NFL. 12 personnel might be better to run against Seattle.

Defense was on the field a lot because the rams offense couldn't sustain drives. You give the ball back to the offense 4 times you expect not to get killed on the Time of possession battle. Rams need to clean up their sloppy play

Good Lord, I'll have to try to take the advice to "think before I post", but this supposed "celebration" thread fucking pisses me off.

Hard to believe the amount of griping and complaining... after the Rams just showed a ton of guts against an elite team, and now are considered by many to be Super Bowl favorites.

Did you guys not see McVay's locker room speech? THAT is how we Rams fans should feel after this glorious gutsy win.

As McVay says: "Never take for granted the ability to be so fucking resilient."

I'm so fucking glad the internet was still in its infancy in 1999... would half the fans have been "venting" after that glorious 11-6 win over the Bucs in the NFCCG? "Complaining" about how the offense was stifled and the defense had to bail us out?!

If you haven't already, WATCH McVay's victory speech. THAT is how to celebrate the fucking win today. For fucks sake.

Thank you.

I know some people believe we didn't deserve to win that game, but come on. I think we did just for the defense's sake. They played their asses off. Don't rob them of that just because the offense wasn't firing on all cylinders this time.

A wins a win for sure...... but Seattle isn't that good of a team.

But I have to point out the issues.... And the D only played average.

McScatterBrain looked like last years coach.... I was disappointed to see that, and especially his love affair with Corrum.

If it was a 35 yard FG miss. Or even a 45 FG miss. I might agree with you. But a 61 yard FG miss? That means they weren't close enough because our D did their job. It was a desperation kick, not a gimme.
I agree it was a very long kick, and the defense MORE than did their job.

I just didn't like the fact that it had to be decided that way.

One thing that needs to change is Corum out, Hunter in! Something is Off with Corum.
Let's at least evaluate Hunter with SOME carries. Ridiculous that Rivers is still the active 3rd RB.
I don't think they will do that, but they need to stop with alternating Williams & Corum. Williams had 12 rushes for 91 yards and the Rams should have kept that going. Major difference between the two is, when teams stuff the Run, Williams gains two yards and Corum loses 3. Big difference between 2nd and 8 vs 2 and 13.

The 3 runs from the one yard line was an excellent example, Corum gets stuffed and on 4th down, they bring in Williams and he scores. Enough, I don't mind keeping Williams fresh, but you don't need that much of Corum to do so IMO.
IMO, McVay still has PTSD about Kyren fumbing the ball in big moments. Corum was elite in not fumbling in college. Outside of the miffed toss to him against Philly, he hasn't fumbled in NFL either.

Yes, i simply did not understand that logic, playing our CB's far back as if the Hags even had time for a over the top pass? CB's should have been in press man period. There would have been no time for FG in that situation. WR catches it and the tackle itself takes over a second and zeros on the clock. Baffles me that our defensive coordinator couldn't realize that.

Alright. Enough already. Read the rules of the board before going on. And if you can’t figure it out from the rules, move on.

It was a big game and we won. The Defensive game plan and execution was solid and that last punt was epic.

McVay looked exceptionally tight on the sidelines ... that tightness manifested across the offense from midway through the 2nd quarter on. Missed passes, dropped balls, whiffed blocks ... guys just weren't making plays they normally do and we still won.

It felt a little like the first Niner game... but I sure like the outcome a whole lot more!

Stopped reading after that. You lose credibility with statements like this.
They're not that good.

If Corum would have just sat the whole game (Akers Version 2), NACUA not fumbled and Adams not dropped that ball, the game would have been an ass kicking.

Seattle isn't going to make the playoffs, but the niners will be there unfortunately.
