Corum lost weight to be quicker and IMO, he is adjusting to the new weight and how to distribute it accordingly. He is being knocked off his feet too easy and in college, that was one of his biggest strengths.
He was also playing shitty defenses like Ohio St.

What I didn't like was the 4th quarter. Three possessions in a row where they had great field position and could have put it away but the offense was too busy sucking ass.

So I give cred to Seattle. They won the second half. Also they legitimized themselves in playing us to the hilt.

But the Rams got it done. So we will see how the next game goes in Seattle. Maybe in that one the offense will show up.
Yeah, I struggle with the run first strategy with a 9 point lead. I would have liked some play action roll outs. Quick slants and mix in a run as they moved the ball. I feel like the Rams should have had more options to call on to combat the pass rush and run blitzes. Did we pitch the ball outside once?

Also I get the Jet sweep to Puka at the end, but no other option but to run it twice? I'm sorry, but sometimes it seems like McVay's brain seizes up and he just repeats the same old calls.

I don't think they will do that, but they need to stop with alternating Williams & Corum. Williams had 12 rushes for 91 yards and the Rams should have kept that going. Major difference between the two is, when teams stuff the Run, Williams gains two yards and Corum loses 3. Big difference between 2nd and 8 vs 2 and 13.

The 3 runs from the one yard line was an excellent example, Corum gets stuffed and on 4th down, they bring in Williams and he scores. Enough, I don't mind keeping Williams fresh, but you don't need that much of Corum to do so IMO.
Also I wonder when Corum is in if there is a higher percentage of runs called do to Williams being so much better in pass pro. Seattle could have been playing the odds and playing for the run. How could we find that out.

They're not that good.

If Corum would have just sat the whole game (Akers Version 2), NACUA not fumbled and Adams not dropped that ball, the game would have been an ass kicking.

Seattle isn't going to make the playoffs, but the niners will be there unfortunately.

A lot of IFs

IF Darnold took sacks instead of threw INTs they could have won. If that last pass was 4 yards further, the kick could have gone in. It goes both ways. We don’t play that game in football. Puka fumbled because the defender made a play. Adams didn’t have an accurate pass his way all game, because the defense pressed Stafford. That’s a credit to them.

Your record is what you say you are, and going into this week, they had the same record as the rams. They are a good team. Period.

100%
They're a really good team, no harm in giving respect
How many teams throw 4 INT and still end the contest with a potential game winning kick?

Puka should have more snaps than Devante. Puke catches way higher percentage of targets than Devante. Just seems off. I hope Puka is not nursing an injury.

I’m fine with it as long as we’re winning. No sense in over using one player. Kupp was never the same after he won the triple crown. Barkley isn’t the same as he was last year. Gurleys knee shredded after he was robbed of his MVP…

Keep them healthy.

These are the type of hard-fought games you have to find a way to win in order to make you a contender, because this is what it is going to be like in the playoffs. Teams have to find a way to win these tight hard-fought games. The Rams kept fighting and they found a way to beat a very good team. I was impressed with Puka after he fumbled, he was upset with himself, but he did not let it define him. He came back with a vengeance and had several big catches. Rams beat a very good team yesterday!

No doubt. Though I suspect McVay went full conservo mode due to the fact we had the lead all night. Some of those first down play calls with runs when Seattle was sitting on the calls led to the three consecutive stuttered drives, any of which could have ended that game. The one after the INT in particular pissed me off.

Not arguing with what he did, either. He got away with it but I think our offense is capable of more vs that defense.
