probably because Vegas isn't completely sold on the Rams. We haven't had a 3 game winning streak since 2003 and we haven't beaten the Giants in a long long time. This has trap game written all over it and Vegas is pretty much confirming that.

It seems low even with the 3 points for home field. No fans from either side expect a close game. I hadn't thought of this as a trap game. Hard to argue with Vegas. maybe the spread will go up some before game time.

I'd usually guess a score of 55-0.....on a team like this...so, I'ma go 13-2 Rams..in a squeaker...maybe 15-3

It's seriously doubtful he would allow any player or coach to slack off this week because we're facing the Giants. It's possible we may lose for a combination of many reasons but taking the Giants lightly won't be one of them.

Been listening to 98.7 ESPN New York, and it's "the sky is falling" time, over there. For one, they are WAY too full of themselves, talking about sustaining the "Giants Way" and maintaining a "Championship culture." They think Eli is still the greatest thing since chicken parm. and everyone else sucks.... They have a satirical take on the team after a soap opera, the latest entry is about Janoris, who they say "had a full bye week off, and still needed to take an unauthorized day off without calling anybody..." ouch. The station commentators (one is a former Giants player) are pretty much saying clean house of everyone except Eli..GM, HC, Coaches, Oline...the waterboy....

They laughed at the idea of the Giants beating the Rams.....

Sean is still invested in building is resume and team confidence in him as a rookie coach. That requires consistency over an entire season---not just the front seven. The players themselves seem to be feeling this season is special and the game-by-game approach of the coaching brass is increasingly reaping dividends as the weeks roll on. I don't expect a slack off in this one.

JJ was pretty cocky that 1st year in NY. Commenting on how great it is, to finally be playing for such a well run organization. I guess the honeymoon is over, so he dicks off.

Spagnuolo was bad... but he left a few pieces for Fisher and only hung around for 3 seasons.

Fisher left more pieces for McVay but wasted five years.

Not sure who, of the two, was worse.

I agree. I stated in another thread that I don't see the Rams coming out flat like in the past after a win. I don't see McVay, coaches and players not being prepared for the Giants. Other things concern me more like.

The Giants playing well with nothing to loose.
Possible rain but it's too early to know.
Some bad calls by the refs.

It's funny how fans of both teams seem to see this an easy Rams victory yet, the Rams are only favored by 3.5 points. McVay knows that no win in the NFL is easy and I'm sure he has been reminding everyone that they have to play their best to beat the Giants.

I agree with you for the most part. It's been a breath of fresh air to not see the Rams come out flat and not give up half way thru the game. Even when their Defense was giving up 200+ yards on the ground they still fought hard and had chances to win each of their losses.
I'm still not completely sold that this team wont lay an egg every now and then. There are still missing pieces to this puzzle and we lose some tough games against teams we should beat. IE the Seaslags.

What I meant about the "trap game" comments is that after all these years of continual losing, how can anyone think our team would allow themselves to become complacent. It's like the Browns after a couple of wins playing another NFL team that's struggling and deciding to take it easy for a week. It's ridiculous.

And yes, apart from this season, the Rams record has been just about as bad as the Browns for many seasons, so the comparison fits.

The New York Giants might have hoped that their recently-concluded bye week would help them get healthier. That does not appear to be the case, though, as their initial injury list heading into their Week 9 game against the Los Angeles Rams appears to be a lengthy one.

LB BJ Goodson (ankle), RT Justin Pugh (back), C Weston Richburg (concussion), DE Olivier Vernon (ankle), DE Kerry Wynn, and S Nat Berhe (calf) did not practice on Wednesday.
