Y'all might wanna revisit that thread...

This team is gonna be better than many here recognize.

I mean McVay just showed the league that he could put up over 150 yards on the ground and take the TOP from the Cowboys...

It's gonna be exciting!!!
So what's that say about the whiners?

So we can make some assumptions about the defensive scheme. If Fuller has passed Rapp on the depth chart, AND Rapp is healthy...AND he was hardly on the field on defense..... Kenny Young being on the field so much with Kiser...even on 3rd down plays, it doesn't seem like we are going with heavy DB sets as much as before..... and honestly I couldn't be happier about that.

I drafted Malcolm Brown in every fantasy draft I had..he was ranked was like the 2200 ranked player in Yahoo. I thought that was crazy because to me it was a no brainer that he was going to get the call to carry the load for us. He's played well every chance he's gotten. I like the shared backfield, but Malcom Brown can play. He runs hard between the tackles, he's a good pass blocker, he can catch the ball, and he's been with this team for 4 years now. We need to roll with him and use Akers as a change of pass until the rookie gets used to the NFL game.

Brown is solid

The Ewok didn't break a hundred. Had 96 for the game. Not bad, but screw him!

Rapp wasn't playing defense because he was hurt most of camp and only had a week on defense to get adjusted to the new scheme. Not saying he will take over starting again but he wasn't out there because he's been surpassed, it was injury.

Comparing RB’s tonight it sure the hell looked like Malcom had much bigger holes and wider lanes than Cam.

The injury set him back. But he was out there for kick coverage, and in Dime. So he may have been passed on the depth chart because of injury, but he's healthy enough to play, and the fact we kept Kenny young out there more than Rapp plays tells us where we are shceme wise.

Yeah I used to believe this too. But Fuller came in hot and there's a new sheriff in town. Rapp's too good to stay off the field though. He'll settle in with a lot of nickelbacker type snaps at the least.

Very excellent point!!

Rams had 40 runs and 31 passes. A lot of well designed short passes. 35:38 time of possession to 24 minutes something for Dallas. Dallas one the other hand threw the ball 39 times and ran it 27. We outgained them slightly in passing and running. Rams had an effective strategy.

I think O'Connell may have had a sobering effect on McVay's play calling, at least against Dallas and for one game. McVay did not predictably default to the pass at every turn.

I expect a return to some longer, over the top of the D passes once opponents really believe we're serious about running the ball. The play action and deep ball will work if we are opaque and unpredictable about whether we are running or passing.

We didn't dominate the game, which was pretty even, but our play calling strategy contributed to getting us a win.

I think Brown was just more savvy with his runs. Akers looks like he needs some time to adjust. They both ran hard as hell. Made extra yards that weren't there by sheer determination.

But Brown looked like he did in 2018. There was a spring in his step. Couple that with his hard running and he chews up the hard yards. Let's hope he can keep it up.

Just on my way for a weeks holiday in Devon. Sun is shining and I thought I’d wear this to celebrate our win, the first of many in the superb new stadium. Come on you RAMS.

game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated. If we can get our shit together in the red zone. We woulda had another 21 or so

I guess we'll see. Fuller made a nice play, but I think Rapp is a superior player. Fuller got beat a few times in coverage. Think we'll see Rapp used against those Philly TEs.

Actually before that play IMO, Fuller struggled, but great play and I believe you will see more of Rapp.

FWIW Brown was hitting them much faster, Akers looked tentative and maybe because he was thinking more about ball security, then hitting the hole.

Akers did excellent. He didn’t go far, but he constantly turned losses to plus runs.

Brown and Akers is a heckuva duo

Akers looked bad to me went down too easily and couldn't juke on a one to one.
Brown impressed, other than the dropped pass.
