We definitely came out as the sharper team out the gate. So props to the coaches. Neutralized their dline most of the game. Goff and team was amazing on 3rd down conversions.

First game with the new defense, you know they'll get better.

OL first game this unit has played together ever, they'll get better.

...

Notice a theme with me? They will get better.

Time for some credit to the oline. They were stout and physical against a very talented defensive line. They got enough push to keep the run game going and decently effective, plus 2 tds. Enough protection for Goff to show off his new, quicker feet and quicker reads and releases.

So maybe the sky isn't falling for the o-line. If they can stand up to the Cowboys, they are going to be ok.

Akers did excellent. He didn’t go far, but he constantly turned losses to plus runs.

Brown and Akers is a heckuva duo
Rookie RBs often just focus on getting the ball, not losing the ball, and to just go forward. Kind of speeding things up too much.

It will slow down for him. I remember watching Dickerson's first game against the Giants on the road and not being impressed.

I think he went over a hundred the next week and didn't look back.

Not comparing the two, but especially with no preseason, a young back is just trying not to make a mistake. So he we will settle in and start running with the patience he showed in college where I thought he looked a little like Levon Bell.

Man... heart pains yesterday and the Rams are trying to send me back to the hospital!

I did enough breathing exercises that I could have taught a Zoom Lamaze classes...

super fun game.

As long as we win, I’ll figure it out... great, gutty win!

I recommend a shot of good Scotch as part of the victory celebration.

Hell of a team win! Each phase and part of the team had to step up to help us win that game! Talented Cowboys team! Excited to see what this has to offer the rest of the year!

HAHAHHAHA

Dude Donald is so strong he just throws men like they are ragdolls. We are nothing without Donald. Conversely, with Donald we always have a chance to close the door on a team at the end.
Imagine people wanting to not pay him and let him walk? Smh absolutely ludicrous!!

Pleasantly surprised a a little bit. Ran the ball well. Loved the game plan by McVay. Especially to have Kupp fair catch all punts.

Defense played well.

Week 1 DALLAS (home): WIN

I think most home teams win this week with zero travel prep and increased requirements. Couple that with such late cuts and I think being home week 1 may be one of the biggest advantages of the season. I think it will be close as we'll be tasked with stopping the run early and often, but I like our LB corps better than most and think they're up for the job. I KNOW our secondary is. Likewise, I have a feeling that McVay is gonna unleash the RBs in creative ways that help take pressure off of Goff. I like this game, though there will be concerns all around afterward.

Y'all might wanna revisit that thread...

This team is gonna be better than many here recognize.

I mean McVay just showed the league that he could put up over 150 yards on the ground and take the TOP from the Cowboys...

It's gonna be exciting!!!
