Their entitled coach and their QB are WAY overrated... and their GM was the biggest cheap shot artist in the game when he played. Perfect fits for that scumbag franchise.

FUCK the whiners

Played the Rams when they played no starters. The Rams second string intercepted him twice. I say they are no better than 8 and 8

Damn it, I wanted Jimmy Gonorrhea to have been rag dolled like Donald and Quinn did when they beat the shit out of Wilson last December.

How about a 5 pick game on 10/21?

Sorry, but the Vikings will beat them to it. Then the chargers and then the cards.

If we're gonna believe the experts, then Jimmy G is the next coming of Christ and they are serious threats!

I can't ignore the fact that Jimmy G came in, and lit things up with minimal time in Shanahans system, and is undefeated. They averaged 28.8 points per game from the point he came in, and they beat some good defenses.

Hard to ignore their momentum ending the season and coming into this season. Jimmy G will have more time to work with the Shanahan system. I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm a bit concerned about our division

He was an experienced back up behind Brady for several years. He was a wild card for opposing DC's to plan for. He doesn't like pressure too much, and cb's will take advantage of that imo. He needs to win games in the beginning of the season when all opponents have something to play for, and no inferior team (like the 49ers) are overlooked. I want Suh, Brockers, and Donald to wreck his world and Peters,Talib,Joyner, and Johns to all get Pick 6's on his @ss.

Me too! That'd make me incredibly happy.

And you're right, about the Brady backup. But we've seen that experiment fail in the past (i.e. Matt Cassel) and Jimmy G just seems different. I hope it's a complete fluke and the 49ers just bet their entire financial future on a shit QB. That'd make me sooooooo ecstatic.

I hate the schedule we have in regards to playing them in that 1st meeting, when it will be the Rams 3rd consecutive road game. That is always a very low % situation in terms if getting a win in that 3rd road game.

I could invoke all of this thoughtful conjecture about Shanahan and Garoppolo continuing with their undefeated effort from last year, but seriously?

What's going to happen I think is that the Rams are going to have to work hard on the touchdown mud hole stomp celebration for the two games that they play the 69ers.

Not every team will slap them into next Sunday as such a grande chain slap is certainly unsustainable, but it's not going to be pretty.

I dont think SF will be a card team and I think its totally possible that the Rams are the only team in the division that will finish above .500.
I agree. I mentioned somewhere else that i think this is the weakest the NFCW has been in about 10 years. Then we have the Rams who are easily a top 10 team in the league. Bodes well.

Well... it's a fair question. Look at what happened with us went from 4-12 to 11-5 in one season. Tweaking and new coaching made all the difference. If Jimmy G-string is the real deal then I would say yes but who knows at this point. They won 5 games last year and people / media are crowning them the div champs already. Not to mention their Defense this offseason has looked a lot like Swiss cheese so lets see how they do when teams have some game film on them and their newly appointed MVP QB.

We were 4-12 in 2016 with the worst offense, the Jags were 3-13. Things can take quick turns in that league

Neither team got the hype tho. I think the Jaguars kinda did but it was peed over b/c of Blake Bortles.

i'll never forget after the first preseason game last year they asked one of the baldy hasselbecks, the bad one, if the colts will beat the rams without luck and he laughed as if it was a joke question. talked about how horrible the rams were, that goff still looked like he had the same problems as last season (what did he throw, 4 passes?). said the colts would win easily.

after round 1 he said the colts were the worst team in football. what a know nothing DNA rifle.

I forget his name. But some dude with Coward said the same thing. And that it didn't matter who the QB for the Colts were. They would put up 30 points no matter what. Now he's eating his fucking hat.
