I know mistakes were made tonight but it's definitely a team sport. I feel very proud of our Rams for what they did this season and I know in my heart that they're going to come back even stronger next season. A Rams fan for life right here.

The special teams gaffs killed us. Feel bad for Cooper.

Man, that missed tackle on the screen by Ogletree on 3rd and 10 really took the air out of the defense. Just couldn't get off the field.

Also, McVay gets pass happy. And, yes, it's great when it's working, but if it's not, it really swings the time of possession to the other team. We have bulldozers on the left side of our line and we have success when we run to that side. Wished we would do it more often.

Feel bad for Donald. The guy played like a beast all game.

Other than that, great year. Didn't expect to make the playoffs. Need to beef up the depth on the dline. Need to start looking for the LT of the future.

Just making the playoffs isn't good enough to me . Very disappointed in the effort by a few guys tonight and I saw nothing new on offense like I thought I would . Too many interviews and not enough game planning . Sorry but Dan Quinn out coached our young guru . He will learn from this but its going to be a long off season living between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. This is the first big game all year that I was starting to gain confidence in the new Rams taking charge . Oh well

Overreact much? The young man had a bad game. Show some class and stop acting like a spoiled brat. There's going to be growing pains with this young team. Count your blessings that we have them and not the slop we've had to deal with in recent years.

Big-time players make big-time plays. What did Watkins do when we needed big-time plays late in the game?

McVay didn't learn his lesson in the regular season and it cost him in the playoffs. Didn't run Gurley twice in a row the entire 1st half, that's bullcrap. It was the same thing he struggled with with the Redskins, getting too pass-happy. He STILL hasn't learned his lesson.

Also, Pharoh Cooper was a complete head case today. Probably single- handedly lost the game.

As a Georgia Alum, I've never been more disappointed in a UGA NFL player then I was with Ogletree today. Lack of effort, completely whiffed on a tackle that costs us 8 minutes and 3 points, consistent lack of tackling technique, etc.

I've been disappointed in Ogletree all season. He's too inconsistent. Makes a big play then gives up a huge one. I'm not willing to make that trade off. Give me a steady guy I can count on. That miss of his was the turning point in the game, IMO.

Yeah I wonder about that also - but my instincts tell me it had nothing to do with it.

Not proud of that performance that's for sure. Great year overall but the regular season means nothing compared to the postseason. I would have rather won 8 or 9 games and won our first postseason game instead of laying an egg like today. Just flat out disappointing.

I'm kinda with you. Playoff games are what you remember most. Good season for the Rams. But it's dissapointing a team this good couldn't get a win in the playoffs.

After the year we had who would have expected a bad loss in the wild card round.

1973 flashback. Rams come out with the yips, give up a quick turnover or two, fall behind 17-0, rally, then lose 27-16. That was the first playoff game I watched as a Rams fan. Tonight's game was similar in pattern. Frustrating but not unexpected. Still a great season and happy (with the assistance of some good Scotch).

I think they were getting hammered by adrenaline and it cost them.

.

i think the turning point in the game was ogletree missing a tackle on coleman on 3rd down early in the 2nd half and letting him get a 1st down. that would have been a quick 3 and out, instead turning into a 8 minute possession.

you gotta make that tackle. he had a clear shot at him.

rams d couldn't get off the field in the 2nd half. rams offense couldn't get going. not a formula for success.

.

Mods please close this thread. There are a half dozen other threads started including season appreciation, which is more appropriate for a young team that over achieved. Thanks.
