Well, there are 3 who could be pretty evenly matched after the combine and pro days (as it relates to individual team boards), and the Rams are the team that has what's behind door #2. Other teams are going to have to outbid each other to get that pick. Cleveland has been burned repeatedly by the Rams in the draft. In 2010, Holmgren reportedly offered his draft for the rights to Bradford, and in 2012 the Browns failed to pony up big like Washington did, so they lost out on RG3. They can't afford to Freak around anymore, and their fans will go into full revolt if they don't get one of the top two this year.

True.

If the Texans take Bridgewater.
And the Rams trade with someone besides Cleveland, say the Vikings, and they take Manziel
Then Jax takes Bortles.

If that happens, the Browns fans will go ballistic. And the only way the Browns can ensure that it doesn't happen is to deal with the Rams.

I'd still like to parlay it into a first this year a second and a first next year.
I like having two firsts cuz one of these days THE player is gonna come along and I want to be in the running

Houston & the Browns are in heavy need for a QB...the Jags are in need but not in the position that the other two are.
I'm going to throw the Vikes in that mix. New boss, new QB maybe. Tho I'd give Ponder another chance.
If McDaniels gets the Browns gig who knows what he will do. He likes Hoyer and might go with him using 1 of the picks for Watkins. Or he might try to trade for Mallet. That Patriot way crap. Hell he might want to draft Tebow again.
Browns with McDaniels is the real wild card in the draft.

only way we fleece the browns for a lot of picks is if there is a big bidding war for #2 (which is entirely dependent on the texans and jags, should the browns/raiders/vikes/bucs/falcons all want to trade up for their QB/Clowney)

I thought Ponder looked pretty good the few games I watched.
not to sound like a smart ass - but what few games did you watch?

...he did get benched for freeman and cassel, numerous times..

only IF there's a demand...

the Rg3 trade could have scarred some; but scaring ultimately never steers away Gm's who love their guy. could go either way - praying we get a nice package of picks.

I think this was Ponders best game in the NFL

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2012121603/2012/REG15/vikings@rams#menu=highlights&tab=recap

Against the Rams

I find this bizarre too this season these four RB's had their best games this seasons against the Rams:
Johnson 150yds -Titans
Murray 175 yds-Dallas
Foster 141 yds-Houston
Gore 153 yds -SF

There has to be a first next year in the package or I don't think Snead does a deal. Even if it means trading firsts and only getting a second this year and a first next. I think he is feeling a first rounder is critical.

This way if the Rams decide to move away from Bradford they can draft a QB after moving up and if Bradford is playing good football and staying with the Rams they have the ability to grab two more excellent starters.

If the Browns offered to trade spots, toss in a second and third this year and a first next I would do that deal right fucking now.

For which Browns pick? I'd love to get that but it seems a bit steep to move up 2 places from 4 to 2.

It would have to be the lower pick I guess. Maybe two seconds is too steep, but I'd even take one second and the first rounder next year. I think the first next year is that big of a deal for the Rams and I think Snead feels the same way.

That pic was taken at a place called Disappearing Island right inside of Ponce Inlet. You can see lighthouse if you are somehow able to pull your eyes away from those fun bags.

We spend a lot of time there cleaning our fish at the end of the day and gazing at sights like those... I mean the Ponce Deleon lighthouse.

That's what I thought too. Then again they may just be willing to settle for Manziel. I'd love to have 3 first round picks from a trade with the Browns, but I don't realistically see it happening.

To me this is the ugly truth of it, with three quarterbacks likely to go top ten and the Rams really not interested in one of them, a more likely trading partner may very well be someone outside of the top 10.
