All you guys are missing the point!!! I think Highsmith knew they weren’t taking Rosen already and was trying to talk to Rosenda gf to get some booty!!!

Why the hell else would you ask these dumb ass questions like they are relevant?

We all been there at some point trying to strike up a random conversation with a female, “ So, ummmmm, you come here often?” Haha

He whiffed on this, even though I think there is a chance he gets this point.

The coach wouldn't say anything about Rosen. It's called reading between the lines. Rather than tell him the negative stuff he had probably already heard he declined to comment.

Yea, I had no problem with Rosen's comments after the draft, but Rosen needs to learn when to shut up. That's the big issue many teams had with the kid, his personality. I think the media is misrepresenting the story a bit. A person doesn't have to explicitly tell you something to tell you something. You can tell a lot by body language and inflection. The coach saying, "You'll have to ask his girlfriend" could mean a number of different things. Without seeing his/her body language and inflection while saying it, it's impossible to know what he/she meant. Hightower was there and saw those cues.

Ryan Leaf was incredibly immature. (Hes actually got his life together, and has been very open about his struggles when he was younger.)
I see Rosen as Cockey and Arrogant. Much like A. Rodgers. Maybe a little tough to hang out with for an extended period, but not something that can ruin a career.
Guess we’ll see. Let him get pounded by AD, Suh, and Brockers for a couple games and see if he goes bitch mode. Still I don’t think the crap Rosen is spewing is purely out of arrogance. It very much is immaturity.

The Browns had more wins than the Rams for the last 15 years until last season was on the books.
Hmmmmm. Take away last season, go back over a fifteen year span..... Browns 76 wins, Rams 87 wins. But let’s forget about them having 11 fewer wins. Let’s also toss out their 0-16 season last year to really cherry pick data that isn’t even true.

.

If that's the only background check the browns did on Rosen they must be the type of team that wins only 1 game in 2 seasons.

I suspect Highsmith got some intel from the volleyball coach. Why would Highsmith mention it? Probably because the QB's girlfriend was around and he wanted to cover the coach and say that he didn't tell him anything.

Nothing to go off of to make me suspect that of course. Just suspect it going back to the question of why would Highsmith even mention that.

Maybe it was the last decade........either way fans of a team that very recently put up the worst 5 year stretch ever for wins and did it in the era of 16 games, shouldn't be poking fun at other teams. If we take away 99-01 and go back to the 90's this team has been a poorly managed laughingstock and perhaps the worst in the NFL outside of that little window where they caught lightning in a bottle.

IMO it's like a guy who just shit his pants complaining that another guy farted.

There are fans of all sorts of different teams in the area I live in, and when football comes up and people ask what team do you cheer for and I say the Rams you can imagine what people say. Usually it's something along the lines of "why?" or "sorry to hear that".

Also bear in mind that the Rams were ONE trick play, a fake punt, from being 0-16. The year they beat the Lions who were coming off their own 0-16 season they were very nearly in that zero win club themselves.

The Rams are finally on the rise, and I've been waiting and waiting and waiting. For MANY years. I can't poke fun at Browns fans, and I know plenty, for having to endure essentially the same horseshit I have.

They are sort of like brothers.

They drafted a midget. To play CB. In the NFCW.

Hey Hill go cover Fitz or Boldin, for crying out loud :help:

I dunno... I get the feeling Rosen is a skinny Ryan Leaf in the making. Though I thought the Mayfield pick was a head scratcher (oh wait.... BROWNS), I don’t blame him for not taking Rosen if he got the feeling that a UCLA coach didn’t want to get into a conversation about him possibly for fear that he might not be able to give Dorsey a glowing account of the kid.

The thing is, Leaf didn't take a licking until he got to the NFL. Rosen had 3 years worth of poor O-line play and paid a price for it, but he still came out of it with good production and a good attitude.

I’ll play along, Hmmm... let’s see, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan and oh yeah, Jared Goff have the same build
Not Peyton....Not Rivers....Big strong men.....of course...IMO

Brady yes....
Hardest working man on his team
Ryan....yes
Same as Brady
Goff...yes!
hopefully same as the first two....

I keep saying this....I've seen Goff take some punishment...and get up...when I didn't think he could...he can take a punch....he's tough as nails....and reminds me of Brady and Ryan in this way......
