But what really pisses me off, since this is a vent thread, is our passive defense that rarely blitzes or changes to man coverage. But biggest issue of all is having no answer to the over the middle throw. Our defensive scheme sucks. Put some extra guys in the middle of the damn field.

The coverages called and the LBs and S have a role in this, too.
Apparently Lake was the straw that stirred the drink. Defense has been flat-out shitty since he went on IR.
A 5 man rush would work at times because Cousins would rather throw the ball up for grabs instead of taking a sack. Of course that's here nor there now.
I never would have believed his loss would impact the communication on the back seven so much. Wow.

Three turnovers, one a pick six. Stopped on downs on the 11. Long pass to Puka for first and goal on the four called back for an illegal formation. Missing a wide open Smith for game winning TD. Change any one of these Rams win. One could also point out 4-5 odd plays in every loss. Not multiple plays to go the other way, just ONE in each game. It will be impossible to win in the playoffs with this type of play. If they can eliminate 5-10% of their poor execution they will be ok.
Crazy thing is Maye is now favored by draftkings to win the MVP.
Going to be hard to argue against Maye who did everything without a Puka or Davante.
Without the MVP, Stafford's hall of fame bid is in Jeopardy. Going to need that 2nd Super Bowl win most likely.

This is why I have been saying health is the biggest concern right now. Seeding don't matter.
If you have Alaric, Adams and Lake we are the best team in Football. Without them we looked like we did tonight.

No issue with that call. You can call holding on every single play and DJ pulled him back and down. Could they have ignored it like they so often do.....yup.
The only thing you can ask of a ref is consistency. If he calls that holding, he should call it every time no matter who is doing it. We don't see consistency in the NFL at all.
