Its tiring to see this D and shula do nothing when the game is on the line.
I don’t know what Shula was supposed to do tonight. Felt like guys were in position to make plays all night and they didn’t. It wasn’t like watching Saquon run untouched for 80 yards. We hit Bijan in the backfield on damn near every play. Or at the very least were in position to hit him and he’d make them whiff. Tackling continues to be an issue.

Last vent of the night. In the span of two weeks we lost:
Locking up the #1 seed (bye and HFA)
Winning the division
Stafford MVP
Potential top 10 pick

We've clinched a playoff spot and need help to get to the 5 seed - don't fucking count on it.

There's literally no reason to play starters next week except for McVay being pissed off and needing a win heading into the playoffs for his confidence. We look like a team that gets bounced in the first round. Might as well go into that game well-rested and as healthy as possible.

What a cluster fuck this season has become, I don't blame anyone for having little to no confidence in this team after tonight.

Are there any teams who have gone on a run after falling flat late in December? I’m not sure but it’s not looking great.

I understand several starters were out but I am preparing myself for disappointment. I don’t think I’ve been this saddened by a McVay team before. I genuinely thought this was our year we’d see us get a 2nd ring.

Obviously I could be wrong and yes I’m venting and pissed but none of this feels good. Momentum is so vitally important heading into the playoffs and we have none of it.

Let’s see what happens…
Well I do remember it looking pretty bleak in NO WIN NOVEMBER in the 2021 Super Bowl Season but you’re right teams that back their way into the postseason rarely get by the opening round.

If we rest the starters, DJ still shouldn’t play. In fact, leave him in Atlanta. I’d like to see Jarquez

Yup and if we have nothing to play for as far as seeding is concerned, playing starters and risking injury is going to be a 100% McVay ego thing.

I think playing to win next week is important to gain momentum, get back into the groove and playing winning football. And the #5 seed could be important because the wild card teams are capable of advancing in the playoffs. Yes, you risk injury, but do you rest starters knowing your reward is to play at Philly?

This team was the first NFC team to clinch a playoff spot, it’s hard to say they “backed in”.

But they aren’t playing their best ball right now that’s for sure.

He really isnt. Karty lost all confidence and could not be trusted on any kicks. Harrison Mevis is a mediocre kicker and gets shaky when at 50 yards, only hitting at that range went at Sofi. Those are not the stats of a kicker who is a force multiplier on offense, hence why McVay is opting to go for it. Especially considering that the Rams will be traveling during the entire duration of their playoff campaign.
Hi!

As bad as that was, I'm more concerned as to why some Falcons targets were so wide open.

Aren't there coverages mixed in where defenders attempt to cover players in their assigned zone instead of just turning a looking at the QB?

Not sure why, but the defense has been vulnerable lately. It's like they can't get off the field often enough. And at times, made average QB's look good. Today the Rams got pressure but Cousins lucked out tossing the ball up for grabs a few times to avoid a sack but none were picked off
