It is with heavy heart to inform our members that DaveFan'51 has passed away.

His wife gave me permission to share that Dave passed away in his sleep on May-27. The official cause of death was cardiac arrest, complicated by his battle with COPD.

As you know, Dave was among our everyday members with over 18,000 posts the last 4 years. We shared many of laughs, good times and bad, with Dave.

A die hard Rams fan with a love for the team matched only by his family and beloved granddaughter.

If you'd like to leave well wishes, I will be sure to direct his wife's attention to this thread.

I share your sadness.

CGI — thanks for letting us know. Dave will be missed. Really appreciate all that you & the staff here On Ram Demand do !!

RIP Dave.

Time catches up to us all, but I wish it had run a little more slowly for him. I hope his family is okay. That he'll miss a great Ram season is minor compared to what his wife is undoubtedly going through.

18000 posts over 4 years comes out to about 12 posts per day. No doubt he was a loyal fan.

Based on how a person's posts can receive likes, ratings, etc ... it IS possible to for a script to be written that will list a person's top-20 most liked posts.

does this board have that feature? being new here, I'd love to read several "best of" DaveFan51's posts

Such a happy dude. He never had anything critical or negative to say about the team. Looking back and saw how many of my posts he "haha-d".
I like watching the Draft to see witch Team fills there needs Best! And what Players they deem BPA according to there needs, scheme, and availability at a given point in the Draft! JMHO
^^^^^^
His last reply to me. I made a post about being annoyed with draft coverage and Dave swoops in with his pure positivity.

^^^His last post that he "haha-d" (from Terrell Owens on Madden Cover).

I also lost a great-uncle today so this day has been hard everywhere.

Damn, thats a true shame to the highest degree. RIP to a great man, husband, family man, and Ram fan and Ram brother. This one is for you my friend . Cheers to your life! Will miss you deeply.

This is extremely sad news. My heart is very heavy. He was a true fan who always found positive things to say regardless of how the Rams were doing. He will be missed by many. My sincerest condolences to his wife and family and all those who has the chance to talk Rams football with him. Rest in Peace Dave... until we meet again.

Heart breaking news, a true gentleman, with so much positive fandom for his Rams since 1951. I was dreading of this news knowing he was battling health issues of late. I’ll miss all the love he had for the Rams and ROD, all his knowledge, and all his positive posts since I’ve been here. This one is tough for all of ROD. My condolences to Dave’s wife and family. I’m sure Dave is up there having a brew with his friend Deacon. R.I.P. Dave51 you will be missed.

I'm crushed.
His loss has left a giant hole in the heart of Ramsnation. As well as a huge hole in the heart of his family. One of them being his young Grandaugter, that was his pride and joy.

Godspeed and thank you, Dave. You left a beautiful impression on me and so many others and you will be deeply missed.

I'm too overwhelmed right now, @DaveFan'51 was more than a member, he was a dear friend and I am a better person for having interacted with him....The Heavens are richer, but Ramnation lost one of our stalwarts and we shall keep the Eternal Flame burning for his beloved team.

I am just shocked. I felt we had such a connection here on the board and in private messages. So much in common.

To his family, strength and love is being shared with you.

I miss him already. It won't be the same around here.

Man I just don't know what to say that hasn't been said here already.

The world lost a good man today, and the Rams lost a great fan.

RIP Dave

May God Bless your family in this sad time
