I just saw that PPF had Kendricks listed as the #1 CB in the NFL. I know PFF is a joke, but all the same, this is hard to see right now with the state of the Rams CB room.

Kendricks is balling no doubt. But Seattle might be playing to his strengths. I don't think the rams always do that on defense. ie seeing young and fiske drop into coverage

Rams coaching staff thought the same
Not to argue and my post was for entertainment (blue font would have been a little much)
We did keep him for 3 years start him for 1 year plus and play him all 3 years. I think they just thought we had players in place that would improve the position. The whole we have 4 quality starters thing.

We need to add a player and he doesn't have to be a top CB he just needs to be Ahkello level or slightly better

ROD was so sure about getting a CB in the draft or a #1 CB in FA.
annnnd then we didn't.
It's feeling a lot like that right now, lol.
You would think they would have learned by now. Every time they listen to our ROD gameday chat, good things happen.:laugh4::laugh4:

This is made even more urgent by the fact that there are no dominant teams this season. Nobody looks unbeatable. The best team in the league is probably Detroit, and they got smacked in week one.

So not only is this Stafford's potentially last and best season - but the league is wide open. We have to strike while the iron is hot here
Agreed. Rams have no choice here. Not if they want to maximize this year's potential to win a title.

If they think in-house that they are missing more than that, then they would of course elect to pass on trying to fill that role. But I seriously doubt they're thinking that way. One thing I love about Les and Sean is they're aggressive and confident in their roster.

Sometimes the fans are right. Even when the team disagrees.

The price to trade for a CB is definitely not working in our favor, fucking A

They're already missing Rakestraw (who was expected to be a starter opposite Arnold) and D.J. Reed (who was supposed to be their nickelback) to begin with. The Lions will be going hard after any cornerback with a pulse.

Tell me about it, teams are going to play hardball with anyone wanting a CB. Can't really blame them. It's a sellers market more so. Fuck

I don't think we need to go All Pro in the CB room we just need to improve it. Detroit is in a little bit more critical position depth wise

We should absolutely be double-dipping - possibly even triple-dipping - at corner in the draft, and I'd go right for Cor'Dale Flott (Giants) or Roger McCreary (Titans) in free agency, give someone young and ascending a four or five year deal to come here. I can't see Durant or Williams being re-signed, Witherspoon's a free agent and has injury concerns (yes, even before he was a Ram), Forbes hasn't proven much, and we have nothing behind them (I think of Wallace as our fourth safety after Curl leaves in free agency.) worth noting.

Make it through the next few weeks. As teams realize they won't be contending, some will sell rentals at the deadline. I bet there will be some affordable options at CB. We don't need Sauce Gardner. We've already got some studs on defense. We just need a solid guy who can shore up the position.

I hope you are right. Got to be patient and win some games in the meantime for sure.

Kris Abrams-Draine of the Broncos, please! We need a Mizzou player now that Schrader's somewhere else, and he's an excellent nickel cornerback! :D
He's a small guy. I do like him, but, I'd assume we'd be going for some size out there.

Good news for the CB market (potentially):
