Thoughts on O line in run and pass blocking? (didn't see game)
Matthews had free runners, or got sacks legit
?

I’m happy we won. Being 3-0 two years in a row is an amazing feelings. And I’m probably being completely spoiled but things haven’t seemed the same this year. Maybe I’m just waiting for our offense to really break out. Hopefully next week. Bucs defense is horrible.

It may take some time. But I believe in our guys. Young QBs go throw periods of up and down play. And we're breaking in a new OL with a backup RG (who hurt us with some big mistakes tonight). This team will gel, though. Will we make the SB? Hard to say. But I believe in our coaches and players.

I remember everybody and their mother saying we'd have a Super Bowl hangover and a bad season after our performance against NE. Well, that shit sure doesn't seem to be happening.

Happy for the win but a few observations.

-play calling has been really underwhelming, I’m tired of seeing screens on 3rd and long, it looks like we’re conceding for the FG.

-we have completely gotten away from what makes us potent, run game, screen game, jet sweeps, and play action. It’s hard to run effective play action when you don’t establish a run game... speaking of run game...

-Gurley, not sure if it’s on him or the Line, but something is way off, he doesn’t look to have the same wiggle he did, but it could be due to 3 new o-lineman(today at least) not completely gelled as a unit yet. Gotta keep an eye on this.

-Goff, just off tonight, didn’t look like himself, he will get it together, I’m not worried, don’t forget, his stats on the road are just OK, he’s great at home... has the highest differential in QB rating from home games and away games...

- 2 east coast trips in 3 weeks, I’m sure it made some sort of impact on the team, just something to consider.

-proud of the defense, would have liked to see the adjustments sooner, but towards the end Wade buckled down and did the right thing.

-Must have been windy tonight, Greg Z’s kicks made me nervous, unlike him for sure.

gotta keep improving, we’re 3-0 and I’m thrilled, I just hope the offense gets it together, pass blocking was good tonight, so this team needs to figure out what’s Bogging us down.

that’s all for tonight

The run on pitches worked against the saints and we needed to run in the inside gaps tonight. Gurley was better than Malcolm tonight also. any road win is a Blessing and Blythe will be back next week. Demby was the nightmare I said he would be. I wasn't over reacting his supposed smarts were not showing and he fell for that D move at a critical time. He has 00000000 punch or strength.

Tough win, some poor decisions made by McVay and Goff. We really need to get off to better starts also. The running game seems off, but I'm thinking it's on the O-line. Bottom line it was a road win.

Goff played exactly around what's to be expected. He needs to improve on the road no doubt. But he doesn't deserve half the shit people are giving him. He isn't allowed to struggle, and any great plays he make are wiped off the face of the map unless we are dominating the opposite team. We are only going to improve from here. That Browns team was ready for us, and our defense showed up in a big way. We are going to be better in that Tampa Bay game, and you can quote me on that.

Yes he catches a lot of crap, it’s very surprising. We are lucky to have him as a QB, he had a bad game, it happened, it’s hard to be a QB with no running game and had playcalling on a night like tonight

He’s very lethargic. Like he doesn’t wanna be there. The one play on our last drive they ran a counter and the corner just took his legs out easily. Last year he would have leaped over him or tried to avoid him.

I don’t think his knee is the problem though. His running looks fine but just seems...disinterested.
Yeah it’s why I said mentally he seems different I think he is 100% physically but there is definitely something up even my 75 year old dad noticed it last week and he isn’t an avid fan of football .. he asked if “ted” Gurley was injured

yep, just gotta stick with it though, once we saw those were working we should have ran it down their throat until they committed, then beat them over the top.

We finally looked good in the red zone.

Gurley ran better than his backup Brown who played better last week. Gurley is saving himself for the long run this is a very long season and there are some big as talented players on every team we've played and I haven't seen ANY major holes to run through with our O-line being our biggest problem.

At a BBQ.
Wife's going mad at me for checking my phone, but got an alert Browns at our 4 with 33 seconds to go.

Looks like the Browns came to play.
Respect.

Look forward to the highlights...
Catch you boys later.

Goff looked exactly like a quarterback looks when he's getting lousy pass protection and he knows it will be lousy or shaky.

He's not feeling confidence in this pass protection at the moment but I think that will come as long as we're winning and he doesn't get injured by said bad pass protection.

That was a playoff game for Cleveland. Ugly win for the Rams. Game should not have been this close. McVay bad challenges and untimely timeouts as well as some Fisheresque play calls.

The Rams Defense played lights out, especially the backends. Great corner and safety plays.

Ball game goes to Rapp, Donald, Kupp, and Fowler and the Rams Defense as a whole.

I felt like we figured it out in the second half. Pound them with inside zone, and then use the play-action to bury them. Goff just needs to not force that last pass that was Int'd. The other Int wasn't an Int and was more a great play than anything. Young QBs have their ups and downs. Goff is currently down a tad. He is definitely not playing like he did for much of last year, but I expect he'll get it figured and get right.
Yeah I did like the inside zone and think it's something they'll polish moving forward.
