I’m not celebrating shit. We played awful tonight. First time I’ve doubted McVay. His situational play calling was terrible. Goff has to step it up. He’s way too up and down and seems to turn the ball over every single game. The Oline was bad. Run defense has to tighten up. The Browns are NOT a good team and it should have been a blowout.

I know this sounds stupid considering all the shit years we had. But we need to get it together or we won’t even win the division.

Legatron, we got the win on SNF. Enjoy it. Have you watched the rest of the division? Seattle got fucked in the ass by the Saints team we whooped last week. Arizona is in the running for a #1 pick. And San Francisco barely won an ugly game against a Pittsburgh team starting their backup QB.

We beat a very talented Browns team on SNF (and we suck on SNF). Enjoy the win. Worry about the division as we get closer to the end of the season. We're 3-0. McVay continues to get W's. If you are doubting McVay, I will point you to his 27-8 career regular season record.

Happy for the win but a few observations.

-play calling has been really underwhelming, I’m tired of seeing screens on 3rd and long, it looks like we’re conceding for the FG.

-we have completely gotten away from what makes us potent, run game, screen game, jet sweeps, and play action. It’s hard to run effective play action when you don’t establish a run game... speaking of run game...

-Gurley, not sure if it’s on him or the Line, but something is way off, he doesn’t look to have the same wiggle he did, but it could be due to 3 new o-lineman(today at least) not completely gelled as a unit yet. Gotta keep an eye on this.

-Goff, just off tonight, didn’t look like himself, he will get it together, I’m not worried, don’t forget, his stats on the road are just OK, he’s great at home... has the highest differential in QB rating from home games and away games...

- 2 east coast trips in 3 weeks, I’m sure it made some sort of impact on the team, just something to consider.

-proud of the defense, would have liked to see the adjustments sooner, but towards the end Wade buckled down and did the right thing.

-Must have been windy tonight, Greg Z’s kicks made me nervous, unlike him for sure.

gotta keep improving, we’re 3-0 and I’m thrilled, I just hope the offense gets it together, pass blocking was good tonight, so this team needs to figure out what’s Bogging us down.

that’s all for tonight

Glad for the win. If we don’t figure out that D Belichick ran at us, we gonna struggle on O all season.

I felt like we figured it out in the second half. Pound them with inside zone, and then use the play-action to bury them. Goff just needs to not force that last pass that was Int'd. The other Int wasn't an Int and was more a great play than anything. Young QBs have their ups and downs. Goff is currently down a tad. He is definitely not playing like he did for much of last year, but I expect he'll get it figured and get right.

It's a win. Not impress the prom queen. So having labored through the "Rich Brooks" years, the Scott Linehan disaster, and the 4 pillars (and not that many wins...) of Steve Spagnoala......I will take a win in any form. Just keep doing it......

The defense looks like a much stronger unit this year. Having Weddle has cleaned up a lot of the issues on the back end, and our DL is playing much less selfishly with Suh gone. Brockers also looks like a totally different player this year. I think the rumors about him playing through a bad shoulder injury last year were accurate. He's been a good player for us.
Taylor Rapp, Kupp and AD for my game balls. But yes you can see Weddle's affect on the whole secondary.

I’m gonna say it (and I said it last week ) despite goff being off tonight .. something is up with Gurley .. he isn’t running hard or nasty like he used too .. has his hunger for the game gone ? .. no one here can say this is the Gurley we know and love

There was a glimmer tonight when he threw a block for woods on the double reverse ... but TG3 isn’t the same player we have had his whole career .. something mentally is off with him
He’s very lethargic. Like he doesn’t wanna be there. The one play on our last drive they ran a counter and the corner just took his legs out easily. Last year he would have leaped over him or tried to avoid him.

I don’t think his knee is the problem though. His running looks fine but just seems...disinterested.

Goff played exactly around what's to be expected. He needs to improve on the road no doubt. But he doesn't deserve half the shit people are giving him. He isn't allowed to struggle, and any great plays he make are wiped off the face of the map unless we are dominating the opposite team. We are only going to improve from here. That Browns team was ready for us, and our defense showed up in a big way. We are going to be better in that Tampa Bay game, and you can quote me on that.

If the offense gets it together we are gonna be scary down the stretch. Marathon not a sprint.

BTW anyone else laugh at Rob Woods when he was outta bounds on that double reverse and jokingly reached the ball out after two spins :ROFLMAO: Might need to buy me a jersey haha

I’m happy we won. Being 3-0 two years in a row is an amazing feelings. And I’m probably being completely spoiled but things haven’t seemed the same this year. Maybe I’m just waiting for our offense to really break out. Hopefully next week. Bucs defense is horrible.
