As with most games it will come down to two things. Taking care of the football and the ability to get stops on defense at critical times.

Oh and overcoming the parity police.

I think stopping the Aints' run is the key to this game. Their run game is an enormous part of their offensive potency, and if Brees doesn't have that I believe our defense has its best chance to keep their points down.

My favorite thing about you is how vague you are regarding teams/people you hate. McVay must have learned his ubiquitous praise technique from you.

Honestly, it's refreshing to see somebody so straightforward and easy to read.

You don't find him a bit difficult to decipher?

Fowler's job should be easy , our interior is moving guys but no one has finished on the outside. I'm excited to see if he can live up to his potential.
Yep.
Just get to the QB, maybe one stunt.

I am very concerned about this game and my guts are churning.

This is a playoff atmosphere type of game so my usual level of anxiety has been turned up to 1000.

Look, the Saints are certainly a very good NFL team. Their home field advantage is no joke, however their one loss this year came against the Bucs at home in week #1 so there is hope--although I believe the Saints defense has improved since then. The Rams do catch a break with Marcus Davenport out for the game. He has 4 sacks on the year so far and is playing very well.

Interesting match-up: Rams#1 rush offense vs. Saints#1 rush defense. It will be interesting to see if Mcvay decides to attack mostly through the air in this one. The Packers played great defense last week--especially when the refs let them grab the receivers--so I can see the Saints taking a similar approach. If those holds are not called, the Rams will look a bit out of sync again. But if they are called--it will be a big day for Goff. I expect some exotic blitzes perhaps--anything to get to Goff. Hopefully the Rams burn them early on those.

I really expect Payton to try to run against the Rams to avoid Brees taking hits. But he will take his shots--and they also use Taysom Hill in some creative ways. Peters better be ready.

If the Rams do have a loss coming I really hope it isn't this game. The playoff implications are too great.

I hope they get an early lead and hold it. This game is going to the wire.

Get a lead. Make the Saints play catch-up all game.

Look--I'm worried. I love the Rams, hope they will win and will be screaming at my television. But this is no easy task. The Rams have survived some tough games and found ways to win. I hope they still have that in them today.

GO RAMS!!!!!!!
Stomach churning?

Worst case the Rams end the day 8-1.
It's good times!!

Carolina finally has an OC willing to use Cam and some weapons. That and Tampa just sucks.

Hill and Peters just need to be smart. If both keep things in front of them and don't allow big pass completions, we win this game.

You get feelings about a game and many times that's all they are. I have this strange felling this is a big game for Brockers on the DLine...we'll see.

Brockers wears the number of one of my favorite Rams DLiners...Larry Brooks. He and Jack Youngblood were great friends. That Ram DLine was:

Youngblood - Olsen - Brooks - Dryer

Here's a link on Larry Brooks:

This I agree with. On top of that our secondary needs to tackle well today. Not only in run support but knowing the saints they will throw a lot of quick hitters to nullify our pass rush. Important to jam receivers and try to throw off their timing and force brees to hold that ball a split second longer allowing our rush to get there.

Make no mistake about it, this is a regular season "Playoff" Game-----winner probably gets home-field throughout post-season. It's time for us to play our best game of the season----no big runs up the middle, Peters playing solid, non-gambling pass coverage, the offense playing efficiently, scoring TD's instead of FG's, and no turnovers! Score early and often and we got this!

Let's go boys-----go get us a win!!!

When Atlanta plays up to their talent they're one good @$$ team. Another coach who is going to get the axe at season's end, IMO.

I don't know why... cause usually I'm a nervous wreck for a game like this.... but I think we're gonna fuck them up. Something I had forgot about, last year when we handled them it was without Woods. Now we have all 3 receivers ready to go.
