Tanner Scott has turned it around after an abysmal season last year. He had the one blown save where he gave up 3 runs in a loss. Which made me cringe considering how many saves he blew last year. But he's righted the ship and saved a few one run games since. Getting the job done till Diaz returns.

Dodger offense has been struggling at times. But they're still second in runs scored and first in run differential. Although the Braves have played two less games so its about even in runs per game. They have the fewest runs allowed. So overall the pitching is getting the job done. Even without two starters and the main closer.

I was at the game last night! Wrobo was great! As soon as I found out Ohtani was pitching tonight, I decided I’m going back. I went alone last night, but the wife is coming with me tonight.

Target Field is an amazing place to catch a ballgame.

Oh, and the same ticket that cost me $46 in the first row of the second deck, Section 214…was $300 after the game to see Ohtani pitch.

Was an amazing night!

Yeah, moved here a few years ago from Florida…best move of my life…LOVE Minnesota.

There’s even a few Rams fans around which is nice and surprisingly few 9ers fans which is even nicer.

It’s happening…met several already and we all know of more who’re coming.

Seems strange, but even the weather is less friendly there.

Meanwhile…Minny ain’t as bad in the winter as people think. Not even close.

I didn’t really process it, but seeing Ohtani struggle with Rushing made so much sense. Ohtani was about as visibly upset on the mound as I’ve seen him and Rushing was off all night.

We need Will Smith back ASAP.

Rushing's got things to learn. A good catcher makes a pitcher better. A not so good catcher and a pitcher can struggle. The pitcher knows how his arm feels that day and what pitches are working or not working. The catcher should be able pick up on that and adjust accordingly. I kinda miss Austin Barnes as the backup catcher. Not much of a hitter but a very good catcher.

Yeah. I'm not sure where Rushing was getting off denying Ohtani the challenge. Even if you are right, it doesn't make for good chemistry. And in what world does he over ride a player like Shohei? Not very smart. But that is the thing with Rushing. He's young and thinks too much of his own thoughts. He's also a hot head in the dug out and needs to grow the fuck up. Very good young player but....

On another note, my son and I have season tickets to the Reno Aces - the 3A affiliate of the D-Bags. This week, OKC is in town. We got to watch Teo and Kim play here. Teo hit a HR that went out of the park and over the RR tracks. We watched him hit it from just to the right of home plate. There was no question. He just stood there and watched it for a little while. After that, we moved over to left field and cheered him on. Of course we were wearing our Dodgers gear. He turned a couple times and gave us that Teo smile and waived. Seemed like he was having fun out there.

Kim, on the other hand, struggled mightily. I really like Kim - especially with that speed - and hope he gets over his yips at the plate but last night was no indication that that was happening. He had opportunities against 4 different pitchers and could only manage a fielder's choice. I think he struck out twice and only made weak contact. They first pitch striked him every at bat and he looked like he was bailing out a lot. If this is a confidence building assignment, I sure hope he gets some.

We couldn't go Tuesday night but they are here through Sunday (6 game stand) and we plan on going to every game. I want to see a break out game by Kim. I think Teo may be done with his rehab stint before Sunday but selfishly, I hope he is not.

BTW - We have 4 season tickets if any of you miscreants are in the Reno area and want to check out a game.

Hows Teo moving around? Any favoring of the Hammy?

He doesn't seem to be going full speed but I have to guess he's not supposed to be when he is both rehabbing and expected to be called up any day. He doesn't necessarily seem to be favoring anything but just going about 3/4 speed. Mind you, that is still faster than most of these guys on OKC and he looks like he's on a completely different level with how he plays and carries himself. But it looks like he is intentionally holding back.

I'll let yawlz know if I see something different tonight. Hopefully Kim steps up.

Preciate the Intel.

Ol friend Buehler tomorrow night....cant stand to see him in that uniform....

No Teo tonight, Kim had 3 walks and a single and got caught trying to steal second. OKC won after giving up a 5 run 6th inning with two outs.
