I think cold weather vs California teams was a bigger issue in the 70's. Cold weather gear that the players wear wasn't nearly as good back then.

Players back then didn't have FA, so player movement was much less. So the best players on the Rams back then played their entire career for the Rams. So those guys didn't play many cold weather games in their entire career. Also, the rosters back then were probably skewed a little more towards Pac-8 kids from the west coast.

Not to mention the Rams last year were pretty competitive in Philly even though it was both cold and wet. Unless it starts getting Ice Bowl cold, I'm not too worried about the effect of temperature on the Rams.

Chicago was the one team I really didn't want to see during these playoffs.

Caleb Williams mobility and this team's 4th quarter comeback luck this season concerns me. It's like they are supposed to win it all or something.

McVay can't afford to let up on the gas at any time when they play.
reminds me of the toilets last year.

If Stafford can rip it, we should be fine. but I have noticed when he's injured, (bent back finger) this time he's off enough to be an average qb who can't run. At least he played in the north in cold stadiums for many years. Go, Rams!
After the injury he ripped it to Puka on the sideline (and he dropped it). He ripped it to Parkinson at the pylon. He ripped it to Adams, Puka and Mumpfield in the 4th quarter. He'll be able to rip it Sunday.

Being in Bear country this will be an interesting game.

For weather, it'll be really cold but not crazy cold (for Chicago at least). Snow it is way too early to forecast that. There's a chance in the morning but this far out that can easily change into later in the day or not at all. Don't count on a forecast that's more than a day or two out in Illinois.
I would prefer it snowing. Isn't it warmer and a little calmer wind wise. I remember the NYG punter missing the ball cause of a wind gust back in the 85 playoffs. This is guna suck.

Wind isn't really dependent on anything. Just depends on circumstances. It's going to be cold no matter what... probably 0-15 degrees. Balls are going to be harder and cold. Easier to punch balls out and for them to sail farther in cold ass weather. If there's wind it can play all kinds of games on passes. I'm hoping for low wind and no snow... can adjust to the cold. Hopefully Landman has some free shots on some peanut punches this week and Kyren wraps that shit up tight.

From what I gather, the Bears have two potential options at left tackle this week

Theo Benedet - UDFA from Canada

Braxton Jones - trying to come back from injury

Either player seems like they may struggle against power rushers - I think V8 may have himself a day. When that pocket collapses - and I believe it will collapse - the key is containing Williams.

I don't get this obsession with the Whiners moving on just for a fucking home game. I want those bastards killed off ASAP because fuck them. The Rama simply need to win and keep winning no matter the opponent.
Too close to the prize. I was prepared to accept whatever the outcome, but I'd much rather the 9ers not sniff any kind of success in the playoffs!

Corner just got thinner. Probably going to have to play a deep shell and keep it all in front. Could be a lower scoring game than we think.
