I'm in Chicago now and was born and raised here. My family is of Bear fans and I'm the only Ram fan. Weather is saying Sat & Sun will be in the low 20s with snow a possibility.
Back in the St. Louis Rams era I was in a Costco in Chicago wearing my Rams hoodie and an employee rushed over to say hi. He was so happy to see a fellow Rams fan - obviously heavily outnumbered by the local fans! I was like a unicorn to him.

Bears beat us 24-18 in Sep 2024. I just looked at the box score of that game and was reminded that we had no Puka or Cooper Kupp at the time. Stafford 0 TDs and 1 pick. Tutu was the leader receiver with 82 yards. Caleb was pretty early in his career and had a decent game.

Not sure there is much to apply from that game to the one coming up. I do think the Bears will be tough regardless of injuries, and it will be no cakewalk (but I sure hope it is a cakewalk). I suspect we will make some mistakes, and that will keep the Bears in it. If we execute really well (no turnovers, low penalty count, no coaching errors) we should win.

If Dotson is back, the O will be even better. TFerg would help too. Hoping for a 3PM EST game and not the 6:30 slot!

FWIW, I don'tbelieve it's going to matter whether it's a early or late game. IMO, the die is cast if the Rams live up to their reputation playing in the northern tundra.

I checked the weather for the windy city next Sunday, the highs: 16, the lows 9. So unless the Rams can practice this week in a meat locker, good luck dealing with that.

LOS ANGELES -- Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford sprained the index finger on his throwing hand but will be "good to go" this Sunday against the Chicago Bears, coach Sean McVay said Monday.

Stafford injured his finger Saturday in the Rams' playoff victory over the Carolina Panthers while attempting a pass to wide receiver Puka Nacua late in the first half. Stafford said after the game that his finger bent backward.

"You guys saw it kind of hit the helmet," McVay said. "He's as tough as it gets, but he's feeling good. ... He had a sprain on the index finger, but he was able to push through it. He's as tough as it gets and will be good to go."

Stafford had X-rays on his finger Sunday that came back negative. McVay said he didn't think Stafford would have to wear anything on his finger or hand Sunday to protect the injury. Stafford completed 24 of 42 passes for 304 yards with three touchdowns and an interception against the Panthers on Saturday.

McVay also said right guard Kevin Dotson is "making great progress" with an ankle injury and said he is "optimistic about what that looks like for this week." Dotson has been out since he sustained an ankle injury in Week 16.

McVay also said he feels "really good" about rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson being able to play against the Bears after missing the past two games with a hamstring injury.

Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon will miss the remainder of the postseason after reinjuring his shoulder against the Panthers, McVay said. Witherspoon broke his scapula in Week 2 and missed most of the season on injured reserve.

I was at the last game Rams won in Soldier Field. Faulk sprung a huge 50ish yard touchdown I remember. Also remember almost getting into several fights with drunk dipshits. I thought about trying to go this time but looking at prices for tickets changed my mind lol. I'd rather save a few thousand dollars and watch it in my comfortable living room without assholes around me and not freezing my nuts off. Getting boring in my older age.

FG's used to be a problem, now it's punts. Get that punt unit figured out asap. Hopefully we don't need it, but, if we need a good punt make sure that unit knows what it's doing.
Well when the offense was 3 for 13 on 3rd downs you certainly give the ST's more than enough chances to fuck things up.

HUH!?!?!? So are you saying we have no chance???

We just saw the Rams struggle with the Panthers when they hit what I call "the valley". "The Valley" is where a team is giving you fits and whatever you do to get it corrected, ain't working. You have to fight through it until the ship is right. The Rams ship didn't get right against the Panthers until the Rams saw they were in jeopardy to lose. It was then that Stafford stepped in that huddle, and according to Adams, said "we're gonna steal their hearts" (or words to that effect). Whatever was affecting Stafford's finger had passed...and he commenced to surgically rip through that Panther secondary AND GET THE WIN!!!

As this week starts...prepping for Chicago, the Ram Defense has got to focus on sure tackling because the Bears have two RBs similar to KW & Corum. They will try to keep the Ram offense on the sidelines with them. If you saw the Bears run over the Eagles with those guys, YOU KNOW IT CAN HAPPEN!!! They'll have to spy Williams and keep contain as much as possible.

Next, the Ram secondary REALLY NEEDS TO HAVE DISCIPLINE!!! That Caleb Williams guy is quite mobile and the Ram front is not going to always be able to keep him in the pocket. We all know how helter skelter it can get when that QB gets loose...breakdowns in coverage are gonna happen. THE KEY IS TO MINIMIZE THAT event, but also not panic when it does happen. DJ Moore and Loveland have to be covered effectively. We know they may get loose a few times...but again MAINTAIN DEFENSIVE COMPOSURE!!!

The offensive philosphy for McVay is NOT TO BE PREDICTABLE. Control the clock running and passing. With the potency of the passing attack, getting KW, Corum, Whittington (hopefully), and the TEs underneath is gonna be there at times and he has to capitalize on that keeping the Bear D' off balance all day and protect the football because the Bears hunt for turnover opportunities.

With the Ram offense, this can be a Ram blowout, BUT DON'T EXPECT THAT. We've seen the Bears ability to comeback twice on the Packers in the last 4 weeks...REMEMBER THAT!!! I really hope K Dot will be ready for this one. I think he could have played against the Panthers if it was necessary, but to see the Ram starters on the OLine would be a huge plus!!!

I said this earlier and I hope the Rams do it. Get to Chicago at least by Wednesday to get the feel of that weather and wind off the Chicago lake front!!!

I'm born and raised in Chicago, and all of my family are Bear fans..."I WANT BRAGGING RIGHTS"!!!

GO RAMS...HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Its gonna be pretty cold with the high for Sunday around 16 or 17. Not predicting snow. Yet. They say 6 or 7 days out they're usually 80 percent accurate with temps. Only 50/50 with precipitation. Stafford has had a number of games in Green Bay, Chicago and Minnesota before they built a dome. So he knows what to expect.

Aw shit...
Great news about Dotson Ferguson and Wallace, but bummer to hear about Witherspoon.

Honestly Akhello didn't look very good in his return. So a bummer he's injured again, but it's not like he was a big upgrade over our other CB's.

So did the force of the wind of receivers blowing past him dislocate Witherspoons shoulder?
