DZ, you're a prince, this is my jam. What's the position designation at the top "13, 14, 15, etc..." I assumed personnel but not sure now.

Maybe my supposition on Fergy isn't quite right as to one reason they brought Higbee back and what his role will be (maybe he will play for more Y than I anticipated in his career).

Also, this helps with another supposition I had which was how much out wide he can play (or at X). Fergy's our big plodding X. What we most likely need and want is the traditional X for this offense (big guy but not too big who has agility to run in breakers all day and still beat man with either speed or route running).
The position designation at the top is the week. I just scrolled all the way to the right to get the total snaps.

The way they play Fergs and the way McVay talks about him (McVay gushes about everyone but it seemed genuine when he raved about Ferguson), the plan is move him all around. A chess piece.

20% of his snaps were out wide. That's significant. I suspect, though, that a traditional X is what McVay really wants.

Absolutely, just some guys are advocating for a MetCalf/Pickins like player (there are a few in the draft) who I don't believe fit the historical nature of the X in this offense. Fergy can offer a lot of those characteristics out wide but we really need a younger Adams/Sammy Watkins/Brandin Cooks/Odell Beckham to make this offense sing at X.

Edit: Is that PFF, are they charting inline as including offset though too. I think they are which is a big difference. I suspect that attached to OT snaps are going to be less. Could be wrong.

We can't predict unjuries but history shows Higz has trouble staying available
I laugh every time this is said. Its like some Mandela effect or something
Yes, Higbee had an awful injury in '24 and '25 was affected by that, but over his career? He's been a workhorse

I doubt the Rams are high on Sadiq. He's potentially a very high end piece down the road, but if they're going to go weapon at the top it will be a wideout. Adams has a year left in horns. Nacua will be in heavy usage in the slot and like Kupp his physical style invites a lot of contact. Basic idea will be expand the redzone potency and 4 minute options for 9 outside the hash, and also help cover for loss of one of their top two threats if one of them were to miss time. Hands, catch radius, and big frame with enough juice for that X role will be the goal.

TE could certainly happen. But it would probably be midrounds, where one they value ends up on the board for them in a spot they can't pass him up.

I love Higs.. and it's fine that he's around for one more year at that price. I would've probably moved on, but I can see the utility in having a vet like him in the group.
I think it likely means they won't be drafting a TE this year.

Dwill cut releases $7.5m. Not sure who or how but they could restructure some contracts like DAdams or Shelton or get creative with Staffords contract for some more cap space.
Rams have a lot of flexibility cap wise this year because they have huge cap availability in 2027 and 2028. They have plenty of money to extend players like Puka, Turner, Young, McClendon, Avila and Dotson and still have money to be very active in free agency in this offseason. The Rams are positioned better cap wise than 90% on the NFL for the next 3 seasons.
