This is a great read, and it shows what kind of character Davante has. Love this!

Davante Adams' advice to Puka Nacua, teammates: Do whatever you can to stay with Rams

'‘It ain’t going to be greener than this. Whatever it is, I don’t care what you’ve got to do, make sure you stay in this building'

Davante Adams Article

Im becoming a bigger and bigger DA fan.

Not as hollow as all the posts about Davante "being a bust", "waste of $20 mil dollars" after only three games...... "cant catch"....blah....blah ... blah.
Not sure where you’re reading this crap. GDT maybe? Vent thread? Some other site? If so, we’ve been all through that ad nauseum. If not, I’d like you to point them out. You keep making these claims as if it’s some kind of excuse for the way you post. We, however, take each case on its own merits. If I talk to someone about the way they post - as I do often - it is independent of anyone else. I don’t go for the “he pinched me first” routine.

If we did a thread detailing all the players who left the Rams under bad terms, bitter, over money, fighting with management....it'd be a long one. Hacksaw Reynolds, Kevin Greene, Dickerson, Bettis, Warner...on and on and on.

Adams, who played all that time in Green Bay, gave the Rams a hell of a compliment. No one was saying what a great organization the Rams were to play for in the 1980s, 1990s ,or 2000s....so it begs the question of what duane is complaining about.
This is just the latest proof that RoD will fight over anything. :laugh3:

Some of us remember the Georgia Frontiere and Billy Devaney days. :ROFLMAO: :dizzy::ROFLMAO:
dont you put that evil on me GIF

Davante's been to several teams. Great player, no rings. Played with the packers for their (3?) consecutive #1 seeds and got no super bowl ring. Comes to LA, finds a positive culture and encourages others to try and stay even if it might mean a little less money. Some players will still leave if offered a huge payday and nobody blames someone for making that decision. But if I were a player and financially secure, I would want to stay in a place with a great culture and a team that is always competing for the playoffs and the superbowl.

Watching Rams games in St. Louis between 1995-2010ish was football mecca. Dome was as loud as any venue in the NFL and was great atmosphere to hang out around the dome and down to the landing before and after games. I miss it.
Wish I could have gone to a game in the Lou back then. I only got to attend the one when everyone knew they were out the door. It was like going to a game in Anaheim near the end except the dome made the fans louder. I bet that place was rocking during the GSOT years.

That's because Rodgers was too scared to throw an interception.

It's nice having good stats but in playoff football you have to let the ball go and give your receiver a chance.

Stafford, on the other hand, doesn't give a fuck. He'll sling the shit out of the ball.

The dome was something else. Used to hate when the Packers would come to town because they'd outnumber the locals 2:1 in the stadium, yet somehow, we'd still be insanely loud.

Easily the loudest football stadium I've ever been in, even after the GSOT peak.

One of my favorite football memories was the year Linehan got canned and Haslett took over and the Cowpukes came to town. Their fans were talking mad shit, and we throttled the hell out of them. I think it was 2008. One of the loudest experiences of my life, even during those shitty times.

Yeah I wish I could have caught a game there. Like that Vikings playoff game for example. I remember when they cut to the Rams game, Madden's face was shocked by the noise rocking that booth. I then put that soundbar volume way up and goddamn if that wasn't the best playoff game ever.

Same here. I went in 2005 (Fitzmagic's first NFL start IIRC@) a loss to Washington; in 2006, a loss to KC when Curtis almost got beheaded on the sideline on the 2nd to last play of the game and in 2007, a Gus Frerotte led win over Atlanta. No way was it as loud as it seemed during TGSOT years.

Don't forget Isaac Bruce.

I may not be Kroenke's biggest fan as a St. Louisan, but I'd rather have him as my team's owner and win in L.A. than have Georgia as my team's owner and be the bad punchline of an utter joke that we were under her reign in the Lou.

Steven Jackson was the only player worth watching for a very long time, and I think a lot of us have become spoiled under McVay/Snead/Demoff/Kroenke. We can and have done worse, and I'm glad that Adams is sharing this with our young players because they can and possibly will do worse.
M

I have my reservations about Kroenke as well, but I agree if you look at the lists of Rams ownership I think most of us agree Kronke has been the most productive.

As for Steve Jackson, I still feel he was better than Faulk, and having season tickets at the dome for 9 years, he was something to watch.

It actually started to get a little dicey towards the end of the St. Louis era when I would go to only specific games by myself from 2013-2014 because my pops could no longer handle the weekend traveling, and as the rumor mill was in big time motion about the Rams possible relocation, you could feel the displeasure of the St. Louis faithful, and then St. Louis fans having to deal with the occasional loud mouth dick heads that were part of the "Bring Back The Rams to LA Coalition" rubbing it in the face of the St. Louis locals at the games. That would really piss me off that some LA Rams fans would just got to St. Louis just to cause trouble.... still pisses me off.

Good Lord, man, that is the most negative response that is humanly possible.

Davantae essentially says, "I love it here, and to you superstars who are coming up for a renewed contract, I think you should consider not playing hardball and give a home-team discount to the Rams because you'll never be happier than you are here."

And the response from @duanevalle22 is to imply, "maybe Davantae should keep his mouth shut and stick to preparing for the Bears."

I mean WTF?

Tons of posters have implied you write "troll" posts, and maybe you should start considering why you get under everyone's skin so often. You say you are a Rams fan, but you repeatedly write shit that has an incredibly inflammatory and negative spin. I could cite dozens of examples but I don't want to waste my time.

I've tried defending you before, but I'm done.

You may think you are a fan and just being honest about your opinions. That may be true. But it's also true that your posts piss off many people on a consistent basis, and I sure wish you'd consider why that keeps happening.
It's why I have this person, @duanevalle22, on my block list, and I have only one person block.

I was there for the NFC title game in 2001, the Marshall 2nd half game. That was awesome ( i lucked into tickets for that one), saw the team board the plane to NO the next day in the airport, as there was no extra week between the title game and the SB that year.

Was also there when we lost in 2003 in double OT to the Panthers, we avenged that loss last week. Been to a handful of other games in STL.

St Louis was cool to go to, that said Im glad the team is in LA.....
