So they really wanted Hendrickson but used the Crosby trade as a backup. That doesn’t make sense either as they could have just gone hard (outbidding other teams) for Hendrickson and saved the 2 draft picks.

Wow, such a dirty move by the Ravens. They knew Crosby would not pass the physical because of the surgery. As soon as they found out they can land Hendrickson they had their doctor fail Crosby so they can keep their picks. If I'm Crosby I circle the calendar whenever they play the Ravens and make that a revenge game.
This has happened before with the Ravens. The current example is just extreme due to the money involved. If I were a GM moving a player in the future and they are one of the bidders I'd use them to push value but would avoid them whenever possible. Zero respect for that bullshit.
All that aside I think this benefits them. I would not have made that deal in the first place. Not given the fact the 2027 QB class should be strong. And the Ravens may be looking for QB in that draft.

I see it as payback for taking $6mil of Irwindales money with the intent of moving to Irwindale and building a stadium, then take the money and go back to Oakland.... So fuck the Raiders ...... and I hope it happens to them again and they go 0-17 next season.

I think Saffold signed with the Raiders as a free agent but Oakland pulled-out after his physical.
Saffold then re-signed with the Rams and went-on to play Nine more seasons (five with the Rams); and was very durable, missing more than one game per-year in only one-of-those-nine years.
