Rest easy Kupp, good opportunity for Reynolds and Everett to get more reps while we face a weakened Whiners
Reynolds is not even in the same time zone as to what Kupp is. Reynolds has not, did not impress thus far as a wide out since is arrival two year ago. Just calling it as I see it. I do not see Reynolds doing anything with this opportunity. I would give the opportunity to TE Gerald Everett #81 myself save yourself some pain.

I don't expect Reynolds to duplicate Kupp's impact on gameday. I expect him to simply step up when he's given reps and make the catches needed to sustain drives, which he's shown flashes of during that one drive @SEA. For Everett, I hope he'll develop into a reliable red zone target, we certainly need address our deficiencies there if we want to win it all.

His last year at Texas A&M he led the SEC in receiving, so I think he has some receiving skills.
That was then - this is now. Believe me I want Reynolds to evolve into a productive receiver. I haven't seen him do anything impressive in the opportunities that he had except show some speed on jet sweeps. I am not satisfied with him as our WR #4.

He is till very young but I have not been impressed with him thus far (see horrible effort on fake punt pass from Hekker, interception off his facemask, etc.).

I should have wrote it a bit differently & I know you were not infering Kupp<Reynolds but I ran with it fast....

I hope you are 100% right on this....I want ot be wrong so bad. I just don't see it. Just making my position on Josh clear. I do not see his hands being good enough to make those tough catches on top of it he is often injured & he never been a starter.

That effort on the punt pass was abominable and if it was any of the other 3 wrs it would have been a td. But that's why he's on special teams and not on offense.

However to blame him for the ball hitting him in the facemask is over the top. The ball deflected late and there was nothing he could do. No way was he to blame for it.

Agreed, an ejection should be the outcome. Seeing they didn't though I would love to see a one game suspension. As far as fines....

So if Peters gets beat and he dives to make a play and grabs him by the back of the pads you think he should be thrown out of the game and suspended for the next game?

So Kupp is on the OOB's line...easy push out, he then face masked Kupp, then a blatant horse collar going all the way to the ground before releasing. Stewart isn't a rookie.... Also, I said either an ejection for that game OR a suspension for the next (If not ejected)

Have you actually watched the replay? I only ask because Kupp was still in bounds and if Stewart had not dove towards him he would of still been running down the sideline. He catches his face mask and right shoulder and pulls him back. I just didnt see the hit as trying to end someones season. If Kupp was already out of bounds i would be with you, it sucks to see our guys get hurt but its football stuff happens.

I just saw a replay. He pulled him down by the collar when they were both out of bounds. These are pros, they know where they are. There was no need to pull him down other than to injure him. Cheap shot by a player i will now hold with the same contempt i hold for that Mike Mitchell fuckwit that ruined Sam Bradford's career before he had a chance to take the next step.

Bradford was totally different. So you watched the replay? Did he not make contact inbounds? I love the fact that people think just because they are pros they react like robots and they can make split decisions in a 1/10th of a second. Your entitled to your opinion but if Joyner does the same thing to a receiver I'm not gonna call him dirty but my guess is you wont either

It’s “somewhat” close... I don’t necessarily think Stewart was TRYING to end Kupp’s season, but OTOH, Stewart was being dangerously careless with a possibly career-ending tackle.

Stewart made initial contact inbounds, yes, but then he dragged him all the way down in a manner he damn well knew was illegal.

And yeah, occasionally Rams players do this dangerous careless shit, too. Blake Countess KO’d opponents twice last year in blatant H2H hits, ending the career of one of them (the Saints TE).

To Robert: look at the photo in the OP. Stewart held on for a good 2-3 seconds, dragging Kupp all the way to the ground. No bueno. I agree with kurtfaulk, blatantly dangerous tackles like that should get suspensions.

People see different things, but I saw a play that Stewart should be heavily punished for.

I really don't care where he made initial contact. He grabbed his collar when they were out of bounds and then pulled it all the way to the ground. What did he think was gonna happen? He's a fuckwit.

Not so sure how this fits in here but ......................our former Ram now Bronco starting veteran Safety Stewart was knocked out last nights game with a severe Neck/Shoulder injury:censored:

Broncos S Darian Stewart was forced from Thursday's game against the Cardinals with a neck injury and will not return.
Stewart took a helmet to the head and was down on the ground for several moments. He did eventually get to the sideline under his own power. He was initially called questionable before being ruled out

I just dont see it as a dirty play if he makes initial contact already out of bounds I would agree with you. Flags for hits out of bounds are dirty, going to the head and knock area on a defensive player are dirty, hitting an already sliding qb dirty. Kupp's play just football and bad luck. This is just my opinion and that's all I will say on the situation hopefully Kupp will make a quick recovery and we can all move on happy. Go Rams!!!!
