he doesn't need to be a 100 catch 1000 yard a season guy, but if he can give the rams a reliable number 1 or 2 that can make plays in the red zone I would be very happy. We have struggled in the red zone forever and with his size he should be able to win a few jump balls...If we do draft a WR where do you guys see Kenny Britt falling in?

Quick being this seasons 6th WR is a reach for him. Rams need to draft two good WR's on day two & three April 28th & 29th.

Quick is already considered a bust to some and very close to bust to others.A breakout year would the only way that he'll quite some of the doubters myself included. Not having a better than average QB hasn't helped him or our other WR.But he should be able to show some improvement with all the athletic ability he has.
I'd like to see him get back to were he was two years ago before he got Hurt! He had some Crap QB's then!!

A few from just searching "Brian Quick playbook". Not trying to be a Debbie downer but after the last twelve years I've lost some of my glowing optimism I used to have going into every season about players with "potential".

As I like to say..........potential means not worth a fuck yet.

If we are relying on Brian Quick for anything, we are suckers. WAY overdrafted, which isn't his fault, but after a while it doesn't matter. Let him compete in Camp I guess, but his unrealized potential shouldn't push out another new guy if he turns out to be just as good (like a UDFA)

You mean like the 3 games before getting hurt when he only caught a total of 4 passes for 53 yards? He looked up to that form last year to me!

Quick will probably never really be a true "reliable number 1 or 2" WR. Regardless, it is looking like he will get his opportunity to show that he should be on the field. This is due to current a lack of other options other than Austin and Britt. If he impresses in camp and pre-season (unlikely) and there are injuries he might be asked to fill the shoes of a number 2 WR for a while.

Britt is a big and fast guy who is solely a deep threat. His past performance indicates we can expect to him to average about 3 catches and 55 yards per game.

Rams second-year WR Brian Quick admits he struggled with understanding St. Louis' playbook as a rookie.

"This offense is a lot more complicated than anything I’ve run before," he said. "... By the second half of last season, though, I felt a lot more comfortable and now, going into the second year, I really feel like I’m ready to show people what I can do." Coach Jeff Fisher anticipates Quick playing a "much bigger role" in the 2013 offense. Last year's No. 33 overall pick is a breakout candidate.

Jackson and the Rams have seen Quick’s physical gifts in his short time with the team, but they’ve also seen him struggle to get the playbook down. Jackson also acknowledged worry about the leap from Appalachian State to the NFL for the player drafted with the second pick of the second round in April

"That was the biggest adjustment, learning the playbook," Quick says. "It kept me from playing fast, but now that I'm dialed in, I can move fast and play to my speed."

has really improved his ability to run routes," Schottenheimer said

Thanks for that info, lets hope he's got it down and can play fast this year.

Yes I agree but Im so down about our receiving core, it has been horrible forever, now we have a WR coach so hopefully that helps them all. I think quick has shown coaching and Snead potential or they would of dumped him by now, but he , Austin, Britt, and whoever else is on the team need to step up for Keenum or we are going to be 32 in offence again.

I think that if the Rams start the regular season with Austin, Britt and Quick as their top 3 WR's and Kendricks at their top TE, then their passing offense will probably be bottom quarter of the league. I'm hoping help will be added in the draft or by another opportunistic acquisition b/f the season.

In 2013, we saw the beginning of him getting it. Not sure we will ever see it again, but if we do - we are all in for a treat. He certainly has the tools.
He certainly has the tools, this is his year to take the bull by the horns. Quick is totally healthy and ready to play. Go Rams!

He caught 18 balls in 2013. He was playing better in 2014 before he got hurt. Not better enough to justify him being the 33rd pick in the draft, tho.

It was 2014 - your right. And for a stint, he was playing like a legit #1

I honestly don't remember him playing like a legit #1 for any "stint." Maybe I'm wrong?

No, you're not wrong.

Brief moments of sunshine punctuated with ever increasing cloudiness. That is how I would describe Quick.

AND I REALLY LIKE THE GUY!!!

It seemed like he finally got it before the injury. But you just made me look at his game by game stats. You're right. Look at his first four games. He caught 21 passes for 322 yards and 3 TD's. But in the last 3 it was only the 4 receptions and 53 yards you mentioned with zero TD's.

It was like defenses said "Oh crap, they're actually throwing it to him. We better put a guy on him". And all of a sudden he's back to square one. The odds of the light going on in his head are probably slim. I think this is his last shot. Its a shame if he doesn't work out. That was a premium pick we will have wasted.
