This would be the first move done by Snisher that had me ripping my eyeballs out. Just a really stupid move.

I can't see:cry: Snisher trading Brockers to move up 3 spaces.

But... I can see Snisher trading Brockers and our 2nd round pick for the Bears #7.

Rams end up with the 7th and 10th picks in the draft. Would you make that trade?:cautious:

Absolutely not. What two players would you take at those spots? And please don't say White or Cooper because there are three teams ahead of us that probably will take the two of them. In a weak draft like this where you basically have three players that would be top ten in a good draft? When the value in the second round is just as good as the value in the mid first?

No fucking way in hell. Not with fucking Fairley as the backup plan.

No. We don't have anyone like Brockers. Rookies are too unpredictable.

Reply to Legatron and Mememto... I'm not saying I'm for the trade but suppose- Rams trade Brockers and 3rd round pick for Bear's 1st round #7 pick of the draft.

That trade would open multiple options such as-

1...Picking BAP at 7 and taking 345 pound run stopper Danny Shelton at 10.

2. Or you can repackage the picks and take Winston or Mariota

3. Of you can take BAP at 7 and trade down #10 for a later round 1st round pick Plus a 2nd round pick....After BAP at # 7, you would have 3 more picks before 2nd round is over...to get two Offensive linemen and grab a WR, DT, OLB, or QB

4... Come up with you own scenario.

That's absolutely the only way I make this trade. Give Brockers up to move up 3 slots is unthinkable.
If I give Brockers and a 3rd rounder up for #7 and I still have #10 I'm taking Cooper/White, Shereff, and or Collins and not looking back.

Danny Shelton has immense problems with stamina - and he doesn't fit in a 4-3. He is a 3-4 nose tackle only. And the best player available at seven would be...who again? Cooper? Gone to the Raiders/Redskins/Jets. White? Same problem as Cooper. Mariota? Gone to the Titans. Leonard Williams? Gone to the Jaguars. Winston? Buccaneers say "hi." Parker? Then why the fuck did we even make that trade in the first place? Peat? He's there at ten, for crying out loud, why would we make that trade?

Yes it does we would have kevin white

No, we won't. White and Cooper are going before #7 if teams are smart with their picks. They're two of the only three players in this entire draft who deserve to go top ten. Do you really expect them to last past the Raiders and Jets, both of whom desperately need help at wideout? Or even the Redskins because we have no idea what Snyder will do if one of them falls into his lap?

Who says that we're even going to get Kevin White or Amari Cooper? That's what freaking irks me. You're basically trading a good player like Brockers (who does a lot more than just run-stuffing for this team, by the way) for nothing in return. I won't be surprised if both White and Cooper are both gone by #7, and then we're fucked. Completely and utterly fucked.
What else does he do ? Also I think the deal would only happen if White is on the board

I'm just gunna let Memento take this over because we're clearly on the same line of thinking and I don't wanna clog up this thread with repetition. But yeah, this.

What else? How about makes this entire defensive line special instead of mediocre? Without him taking up double teams constantly - and not complaining about it a bit and saying, "Whatever I can do to help the team is fine by me," - Donald doesn't get that DRotY. Quinn doesn't break the Rams record for sacks. He also pushes the pocket, chips in pressure, and occasionally gets sacks against the quarterback, which is pretty impressive given that a guy who supposedly didn't have any pass-rushing ability had more sacks in three years than Pickett did in his entire career. He eats up blockers in the running game so that the linebackers and safeties can make the plays and the tackles. Think Ogletree does what he does without Brockers in the middle? And he can stop the run himself. And he's a good teammate who doesn't mind not getting the sacks.

Why the hell do you trade someone like that?

I am always amazed at how enamored some fans get over players on a 6-10 team.

IMO, Brockers is good, but he ain't 'all that'. And though I'm not sure I'd make this particular trade, he's far from untouchable. If they were to just put him on the market for a draft pick, I doubt they could get more than a 3rd for him....possibly only a 4th.

One thing for sure...Mathematically speaking- One of the following players WILL be available at #7!
QB's Winston and Mariota, WR's Cooper and White, or defensive diamonds Beasley, Fowler, and Williams.

Would the Rams be better defensively without Brockers but with a Beasley, Fowler or Williams plus our #10 pick?

Personally, I think there is a drop off after the 7th pick. The 7th pick is a sweet spot. But there's no way in hell:mad: that we trade our 10th pick and Brockers for #7

I would add that's a Brockers is, and grew up as a Rams fan. He loves playing for this team which holds a great deal of value for me.

nobody is saying he is untouchable - only objecting to giving away Brockers to move up 4 spots
If we get something equal or greater in return I am all for it
But to trade Brockers for the CHANCE to draft White or Cooper is silly
- there has to be something more to this rumor that greatly benefits the Rams for this to be remotely true

What need would we have for Fowler or Beasley? Fowler would be a 4-3 end if he was with us; how does that help us right now? Beasley would be a linebacker and would only come in on passing situations. Again, how does that help us now?
