No suspension for a nothing burger charge.
Just because you call it a nothing burger doesn't mean thats what the NFL thinks about the situation. I honestly think it shouldn't get him suspended, but you seem to be putting faith in Roger Goodell to do the right thing. That guy's judgment on the matter is a definitely a wildcard.

ROD having trouble accepting "yes" for an answer

It's good news, folks

Nothing burger

Carry on

No way AJ can get a suspension now... just zero grounds for it
No, those of us saying he isn't in the clear don't clearly trust Roger Goodell to not suspend. Until the NFL clears him, no one knows exactly what will come of this. I don't think he should get suspended but our thoughts mean jack shit until Goodell the goon passes judgement lol

Thing is, TC is getting ready to start and Rams brass needs to know if their starting RT is going to be there for opening day or not there for multiple games.
Total BS commission is sitting on this.
I was of this opinion before the draft. Our 2026 3rd rd selection is primarily a Right OT with the exception of one season starting @LT.

Review the Rams past history seasons offensive issues at this position after year Andrew retired (2021).....should have lead to a move in this direction already even with Alaric Jackson under contract.

It would appear the Rams Org, feel their current LT reliefs are in good enough to ride with the trio of primarily RT ...... well-seasoned Quessenberry, well seasoned practice squad Arcuri (29 yr old) & rookie Keagen Trost.

Personally, I'd like to see Arcuri be released and then he signs up with the chickens.
Quessenberry is as low a I'll go with our O line depth, dammit !!!

Part of the problem is the league has been wildly inconsistent with these things over the years.

Couple corrections:

1) no charges were filed. He was booked on felony DV, but no charges of any kind were filed…and won’t be unless other evidence is submitted or obtained

2) DAs often leave the door open to avoid the embarrassment of having to admit overcharging or that the initial booking charge was unsupportable by evidence. It’s absolutely not an indicator of future charges

3) While the NFL could suspend him, the NFLPA will have to go to the mattresses on this because based on available evidence, Jackson was defending himself and no way the NFLPA will let a suspension stand against a player that was defending themselves. That would set a precedent making NFL players open targets.

The likelihood of him being suspended is low and it being upheld is even lower, so while it might happen, with other big criminal issues out there, this one is very likely to be passed over by the Commish’s office.

Decided to dig up the Ezekiel Elliott case. Dude was accused but never criminally charged. The NFL did its own investigation. The NFL's main investigator concluded that there was insufficient evidence to corroborate the accuser's allegations and that the accuser was not a credible witness. Goodell issued a six-game suspension.

Zeke got the court to issue an injunction because of NFL/arbitration monkey business, but, damn . . . .

Wiki:
On August 11, 2017, the NFL suspended Elliott for the first six games of the 2017 season for violating the personal conduct policy. His suspension stemmed from accusations of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend on five occasions in 2016. NFL officials conducted a year-long investigation into the allegations, and though Elliott was never criminally charged, decided to suspend him.[70] On August 16, Elliott announced that he would appeal the suspension.[71][72] Although the suspension was upheld on September 6 by a league-appointed arbitrator, on September 8, a federal judge granted a request for injunction by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), putting the suspension on hold indefinitely.[73]

I don't necessarily trust Goodell to do the "right thing." But IMO if Goodell were to impose a suspension, he'd be setting a bad precedent, and asking for a fight from the NFLPA.

It went from a felony charge to a misdemeanor to all charges dropped... and the restraining order dropped too. And IMO a huge piece in all this is that the woman admitted she bit him first. And I don't recall the woman ever accused him of striking her in any way... only talk of a "struggle for the phone."

We'll see what happens. But given the weak evidence, and the fact that all charges were completely dropped, I'd be really surprised if the NFL were to impose a suspension.

There are plenty of examples of obvious serious misconduct by NFL players toward woman. But this case is murky with insufficient evidence. From a PR standpoint, if the NFL were to try to "make an example" out of AJ in this case, it could backfire on them.

All that for me to say, its Goodell lol. I don't think he gives a shit about setting a bad precedent. Hopefully he doesn't but I don't trust him at all.

I'm just hoping Aleric skates under the radar on this. Focus on the Arnold case or something, Goodell....

I know its Florio, but please read. It seems that with Alaric going into this program he is basically subject to a 6 or 8 game suspension?

If true, get Taylor Decker on Line 1 please, IF no other solid depth option emerges.

Situations like Alaric's is the baseline for the chorus of BOOs Goodell receives annually from fans. This is dragging closer to players reporting and the facts are all present indicates failure by the commissioners office to address this in a timely fashion.

Expedite this not for Alaric, do it for the rest of the roster and front office. IMO this is a flex from Goodell's office to the rest of the league.

When I worked in Law Enforcement, many times I took the cuffs off someone once the facts were present. Take the cuffs off the Rams Goodell and allow the team to move forward with either a suspension or nothing. Just do something.... rant over.

This was my biggest fear. Pen to paper on a diversion program and it's automatically a 2nd offense (and it could still be done without it) and minimum 6 game suspension, which is the highest likelihood. I really hope there are talks happening for replacement (Decker makes the most sense). Starting LT gone for 6 games is bad enough and then we're 1 to 2 injuries away from the domino effect to a complete disaster (ie. 2022 season).
