If we were to replace Tyler Higbee with a TE in FA I would love to bring in Kelce for a year. Still very productive for his age, can block, and you may be able to get him for relatively cheap.

Not to mention it would wonders for Ferguson long term to be able to learn from him.

How about Dallas Goedert? He is a FA. He gets nicked up, but if the price is reasonable, he doesn't have to play 50 snaps a game.

I’d rather roll with our current TEs and use those extra millions to secure a top FA CB.

Heck, if you really want a vet TE is needed, just bring back Higs for cheap. I’m sure he’d love to stay an extra year. Me - utilize our current TEs group and draft a guy Day 3 and spend those 1-4M extra instead to ensure we get a top CB.

If he still wants to play, and would sign for relatively cheap, why on earth would he leave KC?

Well for one, KC is in cap hell so he may make more in the open market with another team than what the chiefs are able/willing to offer.

Also there will be a ton of changes coming to KC next season. They need to re-tool their roster on top of praying that Mahomes comes back in time for them to somewhat salvage their season. If Kelce wants to play for a contender next year the Rams would make sense. And we have more than enough cap to bring him on.
