Personally and probably I speak for the rest of us, I’d like to see Mevis kick a field goal. There was one snap yesterday that went slightly awry, but other than that, it was very good. Protection looked good yesterday too

I read a couple articles that suggested the knuckle kicks were negatively impacting Karty's place-kicks, so the coaching staff instructed him to start kicking into the end zone. Don't know if that was true and accurate but, if so, thought that was fucking weak. Furthermore, it did not correct the XP/FG issues.
This shit is so bizarre. Why would they have to bring in Evans to kick, if they could just have Karty kick it into the endzone and stop the knuckle kicks? There must be some high-level crap going on behind the scenes. It's not a good look. As a fan, it's making me think "what the fuck is going on here?"

The Rams sure seemed quick to get Mevis out there on the field, and Mevis has already been announced as the kicker for the Seahags game this week. I think Karty is just "insurance" at this point. If Mevis hits his kicks, Karty will be out the door by Monday morning. If Mevis doesn't do well, I think the Rams will try another kicker again...quickly, why they still have some time to hang on to Karty (again, as insurance).

Again, some really strange shit going on here. Last year (especially 2nd half of season) Karty was just fine hitting some nice kicks. How did it all fall apart, so badly, so quick?

Ward as LS was not good enough.
Karty may be able to turn it around, but a kicker is likely 75% in the head (confidence) and 25% skill. Karty has the skills, he may not get his confidence back

Karty may have fucked up his form by doing those knuckleball kicks. Or maybe strained something.

But either way I like what I've seen of Mevis. Seems like the kind of dude who doesn't overthink it. Just kicks the fuckin ball.

As stupid as it sounds, I hope we keep both kickers throughout the year; and then let them fight in TC next year to see who wins the job for 2026. I don’t want another Dicker situation. Karty has talent. This new may too but it’s still TBD.

I agree but it would be unusual to have two PKs on the 53.

A roster spot would have to be opened-up.

The Rams don't seem to think much of Desjuan Jonson (I sure don't agree). I sure don't think Anything good about Troy Reeder but the Rams sure don't agree with me on that.

I don’t know if they can afford that all season, but try to do that as long as we can to sort this out.

If they do, and that's a big if. why couldn't Karty kick off with his knuckler again ?
It was pretty effective and the other teams were starting in a lot worse field position than they have been lately, it seems to me.

Allen’s facemask was pure stupidity.
Young’s blow to head was borderline at worst. I didn’t see it happening on replay.
Sorry but I have to disagree on the 2nd point. I did not remember Young's hit on Shough as borderline.

Just pulled up the Rams/Saints highlights. It was right before halftime on the Saints TD. Not borderline.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you.

His helmet hit Shough's helmet.

That was a legitimate helmet to helmet penalty.

Need to do the AD throwing down the QB method to not get a penalty.

I only saw what was shown on the Sunday Ticket telecast. Allen’s penalty was clearly intentional and obvious. To me Young’s penalty did not appear to be intentional or obvious…but I’m a biased Rams homer.
