Was a terrible hire from the beginning
I didn’t think so, he was a hot OC at the time and came with the GM. It will be a popular destination because of Dart and a few other weapons. Was a terrible hire from the beginning
I keep hearing Lane Kiffin as a name for them. Personally I'd stay, he's practically a legend there and doesn't have to win.I didn’t think so, he was a hot OC at the time and came with the GM. It will be a popular destination because of Dart and a few other weapons.
It was a terrible hire from the start. First it was mostly based off of a strong recommendation from Belichick who has never had a successful hire from his tree. Then it was somehow determined he was responsible for Josh Allen growth, which was laughable. They hired the wrong BrianI didn’t think so, he was a hot OC at the time and came with the GM. I doubt Kiffin leaves college for the NFL with LSU & Florida being open. However, if Ryan Day goes back to back, I would not rule that out.I keep hearing Lane Kiffin as a name for them. Personally I'd stay, he's practically a legend there and doesn't have to win.
I read this wrong at first. I thought you were saying he was practically a legend in NY. I didn’t recall him ever having anything to do with the Giants. Guess sometimes I don’t read too good.I keep hearing Lane Kiffin as a name for them. Personally I'd stay, he's practically a legend there and doesn't have to win.
Question? No habla reading myself. I didn't phrase that well, leaving off Ole Miss as the place he would leave.I read this wrong at first. I thought you were saying he was practically a legend in NY. Maybe he goes back to Buffalo. They need something. It was a terrible hire from the start. Wouldn't shock me McDermott is fired tooMaybe he goes back to Buffalo. They need something.
Yeah. Not at all.Wouldn't shock me McDermott is fired too
Like you, we all have very little information; and, even most long-time football fans, don't know enough about kicking mechanics (snap, hold, kick, timing etc.) to offer a valuable opinion. If Ward was the "sole" problem (and not the overall blocking) then Karty is gonna get screwed out of his job. I usually change one thing, analyze, then change another if needed to isolate the problem. This is not the case with changing both the snapper and the kicker at the same time.
Having said that, I have no info what's going on. I'm not a coach. Just observing from a problem solving angle.
I don't think Karty is getting screwed.....yet. Meavis needs to kick (other than XPs) to see if he's even an improvement there. I suspect if he falters there, then Karty will be put back in.If Ward was the "sole" problem (and not the overall blocking) then Karty is gonna get screwed out of his job. I think the blocked kicks really screwed with his mind and he lost all confidence in himself. You see a guy coming from the outside like the Saints and that really messes up your rhythm and try to kick away from him so it doesn't get blocked.I am repeating myself here but, it really surprises me how Karty went into the tank so totally. It really sours me on him. If he wasn't the problem none of the stuff that happened around him should have affected him. Just keep doing what he was doing. If he was part of the problem, how he totally lost it scares me even more. I could never trust him not to loose it again. He would be gone.
