Sorry to not have participated in this thread the last few weeks. Been working a lot and closing on a house. Life is good. :) That said I hope all my ROD friends had a very great and Happy Thanksgiving with yours! Cheers!

I'm doing a simple 8 quart slow cooker of chili. Green Bell peppers, onions, fresh smashed garlic, and many spices in it (including Jay's Ghost pepper). Plus, some lil smokies with hot sauce, using Franks as a base but will heat it up.. Have some Nathan dogs for chili dogs, and fries (baked) for chili cheese fries. :) Got some very hot deviled eggs too.. lol I was gonna do a bird, but burned out on that since Thanksgiving. :)

I would like to hear what ya all are doing. Peace and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RAMS! We need this game badly now..

Well, getting ready for a major snowstorm here in the Upstate, NY region as I look forward to March....So some Linguine with White Claim Sauce (fresh claims of course) with plenty of garlic as I battle the next three months.

I'm still recovering from the insane amount of cooking I did on Friday. I had to feed 17.

So some time today... I'm gonna pick up a variety of meats from the display case at the grocery and throw it on the egg.

Probably gonna bring down the Christmas stuff from the attic and start the slow process of decorating my tree. My wife always tries to get involved with this and I tell her that she's not allowed because she doesn't know what she's doing. She's Jewish Hahahahahahaaaaa. It's been a long running joke in our house.

Redzone will be on till 4:05.... but it's time for a bloody mary right now.

Grilled cheese & ham sandwiches for breakfast at home, and then tailgating with Cards fans. So probably some kind of cooked bird with a side of whoop ass.

Oooh. Good idea, and since you always post the best food porn, do you have a bloody recipe you can enlighten us with??

I tried this stuff called McClures at a bloody mary bar in Nashville a few months ago and have been hooked ever since. Its SUPER vinegary as they are a pickle company, but I love it. I order it by the 4 pack and they deliver it in like a day from Michigan. I cut it with some zing zang usually. I used to make a production out of making bloodies. Lots of ingredients and always a PITA to make, now I find a good mix or two and call it a day. Throw some bacon, shrimp, cheeses olives, pepperoncinis ,etc on a skewer and make a meal out of it, lolz.

I'm doing a Santa Fe style pork loin.

Butterfly cut open the loin then stuff it with green chillies and Monterrey jack cheese. Then roll it back up and cook it.

I am doing something different... pulled pork chilli.

It has a BBQ sauce base...

Here is how it looks, cold, before adding the pulled pork and getting it all cooked. Never made it before... fingers crossed.

Brudda!!!

Thanks for the tip here on this mix. I'm gonna have to get some now... it looks killer.

I agree with what you say about Bloodies. I've even had a brunch with a massive Bloody bar with an insane amount of options for ingredients.

For me... it usually comes down to this. Most mixes are just ok,,, some are really good. Zing Zang is an easy go to. I also have found one at Total Wine that contains some clam juice that I like.

None are ever hot enough for me though, so I almost always add more FRESH horseradish to mine and a quality hot sauce and black pepper.

It's funny that this mix you suggest is made by a pickle company because I have recently found an ingredient that makes my Bloodies taste amazing. There's a new pickle company out there called Oh Snap. They sell their pickles individually in separate bags and they are pre-sliced. They make a regular and a hot spicy one. I get the hot ones (and they have some real heat). These pickles are so crunchy it is almost unbelievable. I add a bunch of slices into mine and I dump the pickle juice from the bag directly into my Bloody. I buy a shit ton of these pickle bags... I get mine at Publix. I will warn you though... you will hate all other pickles after trying these.

Here's a pic of a couple I made just like this recently...

Oh Snap indeed!! I use those in mine also!! Check out Grillo's picjkles as well if you haven't already. They're awesome.

I am with you on the extra spice too. I have about (and I'm not kidding) 30 or so bottles of hot sauce from all over. I am pretty much a collector at this point, lol. Everything from mild to 2,000,000+ Skoville. OK, I am going to go make myself one and post a pic.

Pour the juice into your glass. I will pour at least 2 bags worth of juice into mine.

I used to eat the Grillo's hot ones until I discovered Oh Snap. Those Grillo's are a strong #2 on my list of pickles.
