Hill didn't look too happy on the sideline. Actually, he looked pretty pissed off.
I can't imagine benching a guy you put all of your faith into after 2 quarters of football.

That's what I saw. He looked really pizzed watching Austin take the snaps. Not sure if it was because of injury, the foolish double coverage INT, or just being pulled.

He wasn't great, but honestly, the O-line did a piss poor job protecting him. He had great chemistry going with Quick.

I certainly didn't think he was losing the game for us.He made some nice throws down field. He's definitely not to blame for the loss imo.
I was shocked when the Second half began and Davis was playing.

Well, if he wasn't happy with Hill I can't imagine he feels much better after watching Davis for a half. Hill will be starting next week for sure unless Keenum gets a shot.

I shouldn't say more. I am getting red flagged for my honest opinions of factual events of how the offense played in today's game.

What does this even mean?

Rams expect to know more on Shaun Hill’s condition Monday

Rams quarterback Shaun Hill started on Sunday and played the entire first half before being replaced by Austin Davis.

It was initially reported as a calf injury, but the Rams later clarified that it was a quad injury that he suffered near the end of the first half. After the game, coach Jeff Fisher said that the injury was the reason why Hill was taken out and that he’d undergo further evaluation on Monday.

Injured or not, Hill was not good for the Rams on Sunday. He completed 8-of-13 passes in the first half, but failed to move the team and threw a bad interception into double coverage to help the Vikings to their first touchdown. Davis wasn’t much better, throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown as the Vikings turned a 13-0 halftime lead into a 34-6 blowout victory.

Davis had better superficial numbers, although some of that was due to the nature of playing from behind in a rout and his efforts still only resulted in six points. That doesn’t make for an easy choice about a quarterback going forward, one that could also include consideration for the recently acquired Case Keenum given how wrong everything went on Sunday.

Fisher said that defensive end Chris Long would also have more medical tests after leaving with an ankle injury in the second half.

Like others said. Was he limping off the field? Was their proof on when and where he got injured? Seemed like desperation to me. "Faux" news yeah.

I can believe he was injured considering the shots he was getting! The pass pro today was atrocious.

I suspect that Hill did strain his quad - but felt he could still play. Fisher didn't want to risk losing him for multiple games, especially when the team already was 13 down and scoreless so he pulled him.

damn your rational thinking !!!

Hill was "uncomfortable" because he was getting his ass kicked out there

That doesn't answer my question of what you mean by "getting red flagged for my honest opinions." Who is stifling your "honest opinions?"

IF he wasn't injured, then can someone explain to me, why he was walking gingerly along the sideline, and kept getting on the stationary bike to try to loosen up his leg. He was defininitely affected by the injury. But I am guessing, being "the guy" and a competitor, he was trying to do anything he could to get back on the field. My guess is that they didn't want to risk any further injury and lose him for an extended period of time.

well, from watching on TV , I never saw him on the bike...so cant help ya there

exactly,, which is my point when people try to start these kinds of threads, without seeing EVERYTHING,,, but yet, want to create some sort of conspiracy as to stuff they have no clue about

I bet they didn't show him LIMPING off the field at halftime either did they?

The team says he was injured so I'm good with that. When I saw Davis was starting the second half I knew the Rams would lose for sure. Why Davis is still on the team is beyond me. We already know what we get with Davis which is nothing but loses.

I was at the game and had a clear view of the Rams sideline. I saw Fisher talking to Hill on the sideline and Hill did not look happy at all after the conversation. This was not injury related- he got pulled. I did see Hill limp a bit earlier in the game, but he was back in and playing after. I think Fisher was trying to get a spark and it didn't work. Can you say welcome to the Case Keenum era?

This was the first time Davis has ever actually played in a game, so I'm not sure how you knew for sure how he would play in a game situation.

But the reason he is still on the team is that Bradford destroyed his ACL again and the Rams wanted a backup who knew the system already. Before then it would have been Hill as backup and most likely Gilbert on the practice squad. Whether Davis stays on the team once Keenum is up to speed is still to be seen. There's certainly a chance once they're confident that Keenum can handle it that Davis gets cut - possibly to make room for a vet QB, possibly for another position if they think Gilbert is improving enough.

I'm just giving my honest opinion. We lost, but hey let's make it old news. Let's just polish up what we need to do for next game and make this the past. And win.

Either way it should have never happened.Rams/Hill had no business trying to get cute on that end of the field at the end oft the half with us set to get the ball starting the second half . Like this offense which hadn't been able to sustain a drive was going to move it in a hurry up mode.,,?
. Our best play was to get to the locker room down by six.

This was what changed (and lost us) the game IMO. If you have the option of going into the half down 6-0 you better take it and smile. AP and their offense would pretty much be considered shut down in the first half, and we are only down 6 getting the ball back at half. If that's not a great scenario to be in considering everything then I don't know what is.

]Instead we go down 13-0, and they have a nice TD play to boast their confidence going into the locker room.

I still don't know what to think about that play.

Saw Hill after the game. Didn't sign many autographs because he was limping pretty bad to get to his car.
