Love it. The only thing that worries me is that I hope we'll be able to pay all our core players when the time comes up.

First things first, please sign Donald to an extention ASAP!

It's going to get crazy for Demoff soon.

It's early, but i'll be surprised if Peters is with the Rams past the 2 years remaining on his contract. Doubtful we can pay both Goff and Peters after already picking up Gurley's new tab. This gives us two years to train up a new CB acquired in the draft somewhere along the line. For Donald, i'm hoping he'll be content with his 5'th year option money in 2018, knowing that an agreement is signed and in place for a new 6 year contract beginning in 2019, making him the richest non-QB in league history.
In two years, Peters may get his personal reputation back AND have two play-off runs and possibly even a Super Bowl victory to add to his resume, he'd then be in line for the most lucrative CB contract ever signed in 2020, at the age of 27. jmo.

I don't think Peters will get his long term deal with the Rams, but if they get Donald and Gurley taken care of I wouldn't rule out Peters sticking around a third year with a tag.

I'm really excited to see what we gave up. Getting him while keeping our first would be insane.

It would definitely be insane. And speaking of insane...I'm going to make a new mock and assume shit. Be right back!

I'm holding off on my new mock until what we gave up is announced.

I have no clue how we got away without giving a 1st for him...

Dude if Les Snead were in Maddden he’d have ratings:
Negotiation Skills - 100
Hair Dynamics - 100

With Donald & Goff pulling in $25mil.+ each season, I'll be very surprised if we can afford a CB franchise tag being added to the bill. We can always hope ...

But whats great is this: There are two years to figure things out and see how other things pan out.

The fact is this: We surely upgraded over Trumaine without the cost, and we got better while maintaining our first round picks..... genius.

We need to have a drooling rating. A drooling homer Simpson head shot will do.

.

And he's wearing blue & gold ...

I see it similarly river. Peters has a great chance to demonstrate he's grown the F up and can set himself up to break the bank if he plays his cards right. In the meantime, he should ball out for us and lock down some WR1s and otherwise improve our secondary.

If not, well, I don't blame Les for making the move and buying us a few years of top CB play. Not to mention it's a lot easier to go into a draft needing a CB2 than a CB1, particularly when you're a playoff team. And if they get lucky and have a top guy drop to them at 23, they will have an effin sick secondary. Just sick. But either way they have more flexibility now, where they can use that early pick for a different spot like NT or ILB or whatever, and still go CB later.

And re: Demoff no doubt... His job just got harder. Not like it wasn't already nasty this offseason, either. But either way damn we are off to a hot start this offseason.

I am guessing that, similar to the Titans trade, they are taking into consideration that next year they will be getting a 3rd round comp pick for Johnson, which then might be part of the package. Maybe more picks or a better pick heading there next year than this year since they are already down a high pick this year while next year they will have at least one extra high comp pick prior to the trade. And maybe another if they let Watkins go.
