I hope he tears both ACLs in the first game.

That's the kinda karma I like for continually getting away with cheating.

I usually do not root for players to get injured, but in the case of that smug bastard in Boston I am willing to make an exception.
ACLs might be too soft though...I'd rather just see a karmic retribution shoulder or elbow injury that essentially ends his career.
Take your ill-gotten gains and banish thee to oblivion...

This is total and utter BS. So cheaters cheat and nothing happens because of it. What kind of terrible judge is this. I live in Patriot land and I'll never hear the end of it. It'll be a big New England circle jerk.

If I were Goodell, I would just suspend Brady 4 games for "lack of cooperation" and let a judge challenge that

Probably too late for that.

OTOH, if there is a late hit or two on Brady, how likely is the perpetrator to get suspended or fined heavily now?

Full on rotator cuff tear should end his career.

Let's throw in an elbow dislocation as well after a particularly hard sack.

Brady doesnt give a shit about the integrity of the game so I have no moral issue with not caring about his health. He can take a helmet to the tallywhacker too....after forgetting to cup up.

Wow kinda expected maybe a reduction in the suspension but not this. So now they have gotten away with cheating twice by destroying the evidence.

Oh well i guess cheating does pay smh.

Yeah. I have a thesis statement I can make about this, but really... what's the point anymore? The rules are, there are no rules.

So when I make a joke about wishing that Aldon Smith could've rolled up on Kaepernick it isn't okay but hoping Brady tears both ACLs, a torn rotator cuff, or any kind of career ruining injury is okay cause it's Brady.

'Gotcha:cool:

Don't like Brady but this was the right thing to do.

1. They never had actual evidence of Brady doing anything - a lot of circumstantial, but nothing concrete.

2. On a personal level I believe that all QBs do this to some affect and thus, nobody should be penalized for it. And I don't think Brady thought "I'm going to deflate these balls and they'll never catch me....HAHAHA" - which is how I think the Pats felt about spygate - i.e. I really doubt Brady thought he was "cheating". I don't consider it cheating...not even a little bit. Spygate is a different story and should be completely separate from this.

You had to think that when the Pats released Matt Flynn, leaving themselves with only Brady and Garrapolo that they knew this was coming.

Once again Rodger Goodell has proved why he should not be commissioner of the NFL
^^^ This!!! ^^^^

Forget about Brady and the Patriots for a second... the real culprit is Goodell. He has managed to f up just about every issue requiring a decision since he took over as Commissioner.

He's just plain bad at what he does.

I used to think he was secure, because he was the owners puppet. But he really pissed off Kraft, who's pretty influencial with his peers. Not sure Goodell is as secure any more.

He needs to go.

Weak PC response after Ray Rice bs, league heard before AFC CG about deflated balls; strong commish slaps 25k equip violation, sends letter out to all teams saying bs won't be tolerated and has ball protocal procedure and correct gauges. If you don't have a procedure, you can't give such a strong penalty.

As much as I hate it I think it had more to do with the NFL not being clear on the reason behind the suspension...was it for actually cheating...was it for interfering/lack of cooperation....

I think that it was about the fact the NFL needs to put something down to explain the decision on the suspension than that they couldn't do it. Actually this is reoccurring theme in law cases - we they do not seem to like to overrule you if you have a reason (any reason) but if you just toss it out there and say "cuss" with nothing backing it up they will smack you down.
I agree.

Goodell and the NFL could not make a logical argument for the "sentence".

There's no rhyme or reason to the variious punishments they dole out... seems like they pull suspensions times out of as hat.

Yes, the Patriots got away with murder... but Goodell and the NFL gave them the "get out of jail free" card.

Idiots.

I said from the beginning that Brady would not serve a single game on suspension. I'm not surprised a bit.
