Probably David Long Jr going to do that but he sure as hell is versatile to do so!
I suspect Long takes the corner opposite Ramsay. Hill just doesn't seem to be a good starter to me.

They might not be sold on him i remember last year hearing he was having a lot of trouble
That’s funny the stats from pff didn’t back that thought process up.

Good point. He certainly is capable of doing so.

Agree with you Corbin. It's Hill that seems more in trouble here.

Three more picks left; hopefully an inside linebacker and a centre are amongst the two.

People on tv saying he could slide in and play nickle
I think it's possible but he'd have to actually win the job lol. Which means he's probably taking on 2nd year CB Long.

Here's the thing with Burgess though... Put on film of them in coverage and you'll see him killing it 2 deep with half the field. You know who loves to keep his safeties deep and playing over the top? Fangio.

He's a big fit for the way Staley will want his safeties to play. So he might have a BIGGER job in mind than the nickel. Both JJ and Rapp are going to be facing some competition this year.

People lock in to certain players and when the Rams don't take them, negative reactions ensue.
I don't get it. People keep saying it takes 2 or 3 years to grade a draft, yet you see people get upset minutes after a pick is made. No use to get upset now... We never saw these guys play in the pros. Seems to me there is no use in getting butthurt over a career that hasn't even started yet.

I hate to be that guy, but because so many people are losing their minds about OL not being drafted:

I told you.

It makes little sense to spend picks on offensive linemen when we already have guys that were picked in this range with untapped potential. It doesn't help for this year.

Rookies are shiny and new - but the reality is that any OL we draft this year would be buried on the depth chart and would only play if multiple guys went down.

McVay is obviously comfortable with what we have and the last five games last year the OL played well.

This is how some of our more brain injured members actually have fun I think. I mean I'm having fun.

Who’s saying this?

he is a Center from what I’ve heard
For next year that is a reasonable assumption. We lost Christian so I did expect them to get a safety or at least that it was on their need list. But this guy isn't a SS type. He's a guy who fits that Fangio scheme as a guy over the top. So I think we can read some intent or at least expectation on the part of the Rams.

It’s called depth. The Rams lost,
Count

Christian - yes
Robey-Coleman ??
Eric Weedle ??

correct ?? Who replaces those 3 players.

Ramsey/Hill/Burgess or
Ramsey/Long/Burgess

Also after looking at more video from the top three remaining centers, I think Nick Harris might be the best. I hope Les nuts up and trades a 5th or something next year to move up and grab him.

I'm sorry but I'm stoned right now and I'm not fluent in French or whatever language that is.

Well we added some quality talent today but i think this team is getting softer on both sides of the ball. Started with the departure of Saffold and just seems to be trending more and more in that direction.
Finesse teams win big games too, i'm just not a fan of finesse ball. The Rams didn't add much speed either. Looked like just a plug holes draft without much focus.

Average draft so far in my eyes and i'm usually quite optimistic. But...I'm tired so maybe i'll have new eyes in the morning. Goodnight all.

My favorite kind of thread :) Worry panic and over reactions all over the place. It's delicious.

Amen to that.
