When I was in the fifth grade, three other guys and myself did an act as Kiss impersonators for the school talent show. I was the drummer, Peter Chris. Made my drums out of various size cans and used a lot of aluminum tape for our suits...of course tempera paint on the faces. The guy who did Gene Simmons chewed up a bunch of red hots so he could spit "blood". The funny part was that the school actually decided to make a separate category in the talent show that year for Kiss impersonators because there were 3 other Kiss acts besides us. LOL. Kiss was quite popular among fifth graders in the mid 70's.
