You can add one piece to the offense this offseason, what do you add?

It's crazy with that OL. I thought Dotson had another year. Four of them being FAs this next offseason is nuts.

Rams could circumvent one of them (Center) by upgrading this offseason in FA and there's an out with Shelton. Rams seem kind of shitty at finding Centers so maybe this is what they're planning.

The other three let them play their contract seasons I suppose then sign whoever is the best. Other two spots play kids.
Really devastated my draft crush went back to Oregon.

Yep. And beyond Snead's words, we can see that trading for a vet is a pattern with them. There was a rumor the other day that the Rams may trade one of their high picks for a vet CB. I believe it.

Wonder who it could be? I'm only aware of Trent McDuffie as a possibility.
McDuffie for 2026 R2 and 2027 R3. If there is a hell in hell KC is in cap hell/hell.

Unfortunately, I think his value will be higher of at least a 2026 1st. #29 and change?
You are probably right. Per projections - there would be market competition:

Trade Value Assessment: Market value is high, with projections suggesting a 2026 first-round pick or a package involving a high second-round pick.

You gotta consider getting Dotson on an extension, he's our best Olineman by far. He'll be 32/33 at by the time the extension is over or there's an out of the contract that that's just at the end of prime guard years.

Wish Avila took the promise he showed as a rook and ran with it, think he's the guy you probably let go. For certain if we extend McClendon.

I was surprised after looking at the Rams OL deals...

LT: Jackson has 2 years remaining on his deal with a $25M cap hit. Rams have an out after this season.

LG: Avila is a 2026 free agent.

C: Shelton is a 2026 free agent. He has an out the Rams can execute with a $4.5M hit. $9.5M hit this season.

RG: Dotson is a 2026 free agent. Thought his deal was longer wow.

RT: McClendon is a 2026 free agent.

:helmet: The above makes me feel like the Rams may draft OT at some point. Not necessarily high. But a dev OT may be likely.

:helmet: If they want to go another direction in regard to where the money is on their OL, this offseason and the next are the window to do so.
According this site none are listed

I hope they don't give up any 2027 draft selections. Too deep an expected draft class and they may need all the picks they can get to move up for the QB they want. That is, if they don't flop in 2026.

I like McDuffie, but that Thanksgiving Game vs. the Cowboys lowered his stock a bit in my eyes.

As much as I want a new shiny WR, and expect to draft one early, I’m gonna say T3. This is a 3 Tackle offense. Nobody is gonna play 21-22 games at OT. A swing Tackle with starting potential is essential. There’s no guarantee McClendon will be re-signed. He might get better offers.

The Rams will go as far as Stafford takes them. Protect him.

I’m not saying the Rams draft one in the 1rst round.

Would it be crazy to try and trade for Xavier Leggette of Carlina? 1st round pick 2 years, never quite got on the same page with Young and already been supplanted by McMillan. Not sure of the compensation, a 4th would be ideal which we dont have. Tons of talent, maybe the Rams could be the benefactor if they can unleash it.

I may be alone, but I REALLY hope we don't trade a first for McDuffie. Sure, he'd be our best CB, but, I don't think he's was even the best CB on KC last year. And Watson is a free agent. Just sign him and also draft a young CB in the 1st. McDuffie is going to need a big new contract on top of trading high end draft stock for. Watson will just need the contract.

You'd have to think we are a very nice option for the top CB on the market. A Superbowl contender with a top notch front office. All we really lack is a good corner and he could be a star here.

Spotrac has Watson as market value AAV of $12.4m/yr. Probably not far off, or may be higher. I'd do that in a heart beat.

I think Alec Pierce might be the guy.....it'll cost us probably $20 million per year, but he is the perfect compliment to Puka and Davante, and while our WR room would be expensive, the more I think about his fit here and the more excited I get. Unlikely that Davante stays past next year too

It's certainly intriguing with his skill set and you make a good point that we need to prepare for Davante to be gone next year. We really need to add two more pass catchers at least this offseason.

Would absolutely love Pierce ... and I am against spending big in free agency because of all the young talent that will come-up for new deals in the next two years. However, I don't think $20M-per-year-AAV will do it. Saw where one site had that amount as Pierce's market value but I think he will get more.

He gives me Drew Bennett vibes
