RAS numbers are gym stats in no-pads. Are people still treating RAS like gospel?

Rams have least athletic roster in NFL, per RAS

Not saying I put a lot of faith in some of the metrics used here, and we certainly have been a lot more successful than some of the "more athletic" teams out there. Interesting emphasis, though, on how we do things differently. Ending suggests special teams and defense would benefit by us...

No need to go on. We just have a different definition of explosive.

My opinion was based upon what I saw on video. The RAS comparison was only listed to show the difference in what are typically considered the explosive measurables. Not the overall score.

It's not only garbage you'd think by their comments the Rams do t use it. They pay attention to so.e of the metrics but RAS as a whole they don't seem to.

RAS is fine as long as you realize that it’s a tool, not a rule. The NFL is littered with Underwear superstars that don’t see the field. Then there’s a bunch of guys that have mid to low RAS that show there’s more to explosiveness than running fast and jumping high without pads on.

Steve Smith (7.75) and Cooper Kupp (5.00) had pretty unimpressive RAS scores, but are two of the four triple crown winners in the modern era.

Adonai Mitchell had a higher RAS than Julio Jones…

Branch has great speed, but is also very shifty and jitterbug like. He's more like a stronger, more explosive Tavon Austin. But instead of being a tiny RB trying to learn to be a WR, he already is one.

I was comparing him to Conceptcieon (sp?). So my mistake if you were talking about Branch. I responded to a post about Conceptceion

When I first saw Concepcion his running style reminded me of Robert Woods.

I just can’t see how anyone could watch Zachariah Branch and then watch Tavon Austin’s college tape and come away with Branch being more explosive. If you took Branch’s all purpose yards for his best statistical season, it’s 818 yards…Tavon had 2/3 of that in one game…
