Which WR excites you the most for the Rams?

I guess I view any top-100 draft choices (Rounds 1-3) as quality picks, where a team needs a fairly-high success-rate (meaning solid players or better). To me, 'Later in the Draft' suggests rounds 4-7.

If #69 overall (where Kupp was selected) constitutes 'later in the Draft', then the Rams' 2nd round pick (#61) would need to be compared to Van Jefferson and TuTu Atwell, who were both selected #57 overall.

I always enjoy listening to Cosell. He sums things up pretty good I think. I agree with him that Lemon is smooth and fits most teams, but he's not big and he's not explosive. This is why, as a USC fan, I'm not jumping on the table for him. He's the kind of player you want in your wideout corps, but he's gonna slot in the NFL and five years from now he'll be a good starter in the slot I am sure, so he's got a nice floor to him. But will he be a stud?

Hurst is interesting. I didn't like his drops, first off, and that plus the level of competition hurt him. But he's got length to him, and also has the wheels you want, so Cosell's right in saying he's the guy with all the tools you want in that X role.

For me personally I want an X addition that fits Stafford. Which means length, catch radius, toughness, and great hands. Which is why I like Boston so much. But Hurst or Fields would be fine as well, and I'd rather see us take a shot on that boundary role than add another fucking slot. Especially a slot who is smaller and generally inferior to the 6'2" benchmark that McVay slots have carried.

Field Yates in his latest mock draft for ESPN has the Rams selecting Chris Bell at 61st overall as a redshirt pick. Yates projects him to go in the mid-to-late second round, but had him in the first round prior to his injury with Mel Kiper, Jr. placing him as a mid-first-rounder pre-injury. Both see value in the Rams waiting on Bell for a year or so to fully recover and be a productive player for the team as possibly Davante Adams's replacement next season. Yates mocked Monroe Freeling to the Rams at 13th overall while Kiper, Jr. thinks that they'll consider Jordyn Tyson or Makai Lemon with that pick.

I still anticipate the Rams taking two receivers with 2 of their 3 Day 1 and Day 2 picks. whether it's two wide receivers with picks in the first and second round or a wide receiver in either Round 1 or 2 and a tight end in Round 3.
