Coliseum Ram
Rookie
Maiava, IF McVay likes him of course. Probably no trade up needed. Atlanta's pick.Thank god we're only about a month away from knowing what QB's will actually be in the draft

In 3rd or 4th round?Maiava, IF McVay likes him of course. Probably no trade up needed. Atlanta's pick.
Got to be just a little realistic.Whatever happens will definitely be a "splash". The Rams don't take little swings with qb.
And it will probably be something nobody saw coming and makes little if no sense for the other team (Josh Allen, Drake Maye, etc.).
You could check most mock drafts and projections. This man is going in the 1st, and some have him as their best quarterback. In 3rd or 4th round?
Yeah, I see big boards and mocks that have him in the 130's... 4th rd. If he comes out, he probably climbs, maybe even gets pumped up like Dart did and goes late rd1 or rd2 like Shough. However, I don't see him as a top 15 guy.In 3rd or 4th round?
Agreed. I just used those 2 as an example of a massive acquisition.Got to be just a little realistic.
Maybe the Rams do go for a 'splash' ... but it would be a top-tier-QB for team that is NOT performing well.
Hmmm.....In 3rd or 4th round?

Yes I think the group of smaller QBs is what we are looking at, barring a move up. And this year's class has a large haul potentially of those smaller dudes who have a mix of things McVay might be interested in and won't require moving up for or at least too much positioning.Another option is LSU. Kiffin moves in and Nuss is a senior right?
He's 6'4" and moves well, with a cannon. He will have GMs salivating at his pro day. Top 3 almost for sure I would say, so if we get him I imagine it would be with a move up.I've seen Maiava mocked to us and lot with our first pick.
As I linked above right now a lot have him in our first pick range. That of course can and will change if he even declares.Yes I think the group of smaller QBs is what we are looking at, barring a move up. Guys like Simpson, Nussmeier, Mateer, Klubnik. Simpson we'll see how he finishes but he just looks small the more I watch his tape. And it's strong tape but size matters. Nussmeier surprised me, I like him a lot more than I figured I would once I started focusing on his game but he's a bit slight of frame too. I've always liked Mateer and he's a bit beefier like a RB, but his throwing day will determine where he slots as teams will have some arm strength concerns I'd imagine. Haven't watched Klubnik closely yet but gonna look at everything I can find on him this weekend.

I'd be very damn happy with the Rams taking him. He's a serious kid in his interviews, which I like more than the goofy MFers. I'm probably one of the few who actually put stock in interviews. But I feel like they give me a small window into the personality which matters to me.
Yeah I saw that. I've seen him listed stupid low in fact. PFF has him at 73 overall which is absurd. As I linked above right now a lot have him in our first pick range. That of course can and will change if he even declares.
I think if you're a round 2-3 QB on the board nowadays and have a chance to play relatively early, there's gonna be teams considering using those late first rounders to get the 5th year option. Because if you hit on that pick the value of that year is insanely good. Shough is just the latest example of that type of thinking at work.Yeah, I see big boards and mocks that have him in the 130's... 4th rd. He's 6'5" 242 and had a terrible Head Coach. Quinn Ewers went in the 7th. Drew Allar is getting drafted.Allar wont get drafted
