Which QB should the Rams draft in the 1st Round next year?

The heck with a QB. Stafford will play at least another year unless they win the SB again. After watching this secondary, they need to draft cornerbacks. The problem is that some pundits don't list any CBs as 1st-round picks, and although I doubt they'd spend a #13 pick on safety Caleb Downs, if he's there (a big if), he'd be hard to pass up. Kiper has TN CB Jermod McCoy as his #13, but he missed all of 2025 with an ACL, so I can't imagine him going that high. Maybe Mansoor Delane CB with LSU or the 6'4", 195 lb speedster Kelly Jones, MS State CB with the second 1st rounder - both in Kiper's top 25 best players.

I think McVay could work magic with Lamar's talent. My concern with Lamar is longevity. Athletic QBs don't age well, and Lamar is about to turn 29 years old. How much longer will he be a major running threat? Once he loses that, I think his game will rapidly decline, like we saw with Russell Wilson and Cam Newton.
My concern is what I’ve heard about his work ethic and his staying up late. I’m not sure if it’s overblown but I can’t see McVay accepting that if true.

This QB class went from supposedly one of the best to possibly the worst! The money floating around in college means that unless a player goes top 10 in the draft they earn more in college. It’s probably best for the NFL and College Football in the long run but boy we picked the wrong year to have 2 first round draft picks! Will any team trade away their next years one? Looking at the QB field it seems somewhat unlikely

Side note. If Burrow was traded this off-season his value just went through the roof. Next season, as seems more likely if possible, then his value will be less. Go Rams

Kiper listing McCoy at 13 after that ACL is absurd. If there's one position you need a clean bill of health it's corner, I would not touch him that high.

Just go get two impact players. Doesn't have to be a QB.

I want a CB/WR of two or our three picks in the first two rounds. I've seen some reports that this draft has a lot of good tall speedy receivers available in the first round.

I would like to also get a really good center in the second or third round.

Dotson's injury has really shown how much he covered up for Shelton's lack of athleticism.

Joe Burrow ... no chance in 2026 ... but ... 2027? ... Just Maybe ... Not Likely ... but, maybe

It's time to close this thread! There are virtually no draftable college QBs in this draft LOL

It appears John Mateer is now also heading back, to Oklahoma

Who does that leave??

MIAMI’s left TACKLE! Don’t think he last that long after the NCAA Playoffs. He was borderline at 10-13.I think The Rams are 13 maybe 14 ?

Funny - wasn’t BECK 4 years at Georgia. There QB was SO ,but Old Miss’is QB out lasted him in the Cotton Candy Sugar Bowl. How sweet.

Then WE gave The 2 OG QB’s from GEORGIA!!! I’ll take them both a long with The Jimmy G .
