If Burrow (after this year, his 6th) asks for a trade, he wouldn't be the first Cincinnati QB to ask for a trade. Carson Palmer told them if they didn't trade him, he'd retire (after his 7th year). They traded him and he played another 7 years. Pro Bowl in 2015 with Arizona, 2nd in the MVP voting. There is a history there in Cincinnati, one of the worse run franchises in the league.

They traded him to the Raiders btw

Brady ended up a QB who could throw it deep (Randy Moss)
If you do not know the difference between Niner STANK and Lions stank you are actually not a real Rams fan.
The Lions are hardy our most hated rival who beat us like dogs for a decade and rubbed it in our faces.
Get a clue.
I've been hating the 49ers since the John Brodie days..... Don't tell me how to be a Rams fan.

Like to see you have the balls to go in a full Rams uniform at Levi Stadium surrounded by red stuff.

Yeah he sucked for the Raiders, who dumped him to the Cards, where he sucked for 2 years before having 1 good year
Basically, Jimmy Garropolo
And guess who's in uniform for the Rams???? JimmyG.... lol... And god forbid if something happens to Stafford he's gonna be under center.

My first choice is to get Mahomes. But my true hope is Stafford has three more seasons left in him.

He went 29-9 from 2013-2015 in Arizona. 70 TDs vs 36 Int, two 4,000 yard seasons, 10571 yards total. Show me 3 seasons JG had 70 TDs and 10571.

But it's totally irrelevant. I was simply saying a previous #1 QB for the Bengals had had enough and went to them demanding a trade or he'd retire. It wasn't a validation Carson Palmer was Peyton Manning (or Jimmy G) or anything. It was an indictment of the Bengals as an organization.

In defense to JimmyG.......Stafford is probably gonna play more regular season games in 2024 and 2025, then in JimmyG's whole NFL career so far.

That is all.

WTF does that have to do with the content of my brief interaction with DieterBrock?

The Palmer 3 yr stretch I was highlighting was 38 games, 2013-15. Garoppolo played 37 from 2019-21 and didn't come close to matching CPs numbers. But I digress, your comment isn't even contextually relevant to my interaction with DB.

Joe Burrow is 41 and 30 when starting. If I had to guess, he has had enough of putting in the work and playing at a high level for an average at best organization, in a small market, in an outdoor cold weather stadium while having the indignity of playing in orange :-)

If he does want to enjoy football he could hold on for a year and then demand a trade to the Rams, ahead of 2018, with Stafford retired, and where veterans go to love playing and enjoy a great lifestyle with the best offensive, possibly head, coach in the league
Joe Burrow is tired of losing and just wants to win. Maybe not 2027... maybe 2028 he gets traded... maybe. And I'm sure he would love to play for wining organization like the Rams and a winning coach like McVay. Of course a lot of this depends on when Stafford retires. I think Stafford is having way too much fun to consider retiring after this year but next year... who knows? What we do hope is that Stafford has at least 2 more super bowl season in him so I don't even want to think about this until AFTER the 2026-2027 season. A lot of events would have to take place for Burrow to end up a Ram someday. But it could happen.

Well JimmyG did have 10,261yards and 63 TD's in three seasons... Pretty good for guy that's always hurt. I'll call it a tie

11 games
15 games
16 games
LMFAO!!! You call it a tie. I'll call it disingenuous of you.
Now play dumb and act like you didn't realize I was talking about 3 consecutive seasons.
Say, don't you have a Bronco's forum to visit?

That's not exactly true. Palmer had one iffy year, got comfortable in the system, and then played at a high level for them until old age caught up with him. He was 6-0 and playing great football in 2014, until he suffered an injury. And then he finished as a MVP runner up in 2015 and had a decent year in 2016. He was a better player than Jimmy, who was a limited QB elevated by Shanahan's scheme. Jimmy, at his peak, was an average to below average starter. Palmer was a top 10 QB at his peak.

I think Cincy will do everything they can to keep Burrow, including giving him a large say in their next HC if they fire Taylor.

They'd be smart to do that. But will it be enough? I heard he's already made 175 million, so though money talks and bullshit walks, if he's sincere about being happy, whatever they offer might not be enough. Maybe a say in who the GM goes after in the draft, the amount of money they spend and on who in free agency, would get it done. LOL.

Given how stubborn Mike Brown is, I don't see them trading him. If they do, pay them what they want for him.

He may need promises that they will try to win and commit to spending to accomplish that. His gripe is with ownership.

Thank God for Kroenke.

Just an observation. Garoppolo has no business being in this conversation.

Joe Burrow is FAR better than Palmer was. It would be worth giving up THREE 1sts (and a little more if needed) to land Burrow.

He was in the last year of his deal and retired instead of playing.
Palmer was a douche as much as Cincinnati was being cheap.
And again, he sucked with the Raiders and appeared washed.
Cincy made out huge with that deal
