I agree but it wouldn't be the craziest decision either if they do well covering other holes in free agency. If that OT could beat out Big Rob, big ass if, then the Rams could look to use him trade bait. Honestly never know what the front office is thinking. To me, it really depends on how the board falls and who the Rams think is good. What if an OT falls that they thought wouldn't be there but they think is a hell of a player?
I think looking at what McVay wanted last year could give us some insight into this draft. He wanted Bowers, badly. He offered a huge haul to move up and get him (would have cost us Verse and Fiske minimum). Is Warren as good as Bowers? Unlikely, but, he is certainly the most similar to him in this draft. I could see us making a move for him.
For me, I'd do my best to trade back and recoup some premium picks unless a absolute stud falls (which I think is unlikely in this draft).

No need to apologize lol. Yeah mock drafts can be super wonky for sure. Maybe I was picking him in the 20s now that I think about it . So at this point in the draft nabors had just separated himself from a flock of guys in the top 5. He wasn't being discussed as Marvin Harrison jr level yet. He did have a pretty decent rise from November to March.
Hav is on the last year of his deal, Ajax could be on franchise tag, surely a 1st round OT would be a great move to take one of those 2 spots. A potential 5 year deal? Perfect move

26 is a great spot to grab someone who slipped, even if a slight move up is needed.

I'm not arguing that a quality player couldnt be found later, heck half the team is made of those guys. What I do disagree with is the idea of not drafting one because Ajax and Havs are on the roster and that there isnt an immediate spot.

I'm all for drafting one absolutely just not in the 1st for somebody not starting. Too many needs too many good players to go backup in the 1st round is all I'm saying. Not against drafting an OT at all.
What I THINK you BOTH are missing is if you look at Alaric Jackson & how long it took him to get into the Lineup as aUDRFA !!
I’m thinking seriously about KT Leveston !! Sean Mcvay thought so much of him EARLY that he was like The 1st. IR w/ the ability to comeback. He looked solid in the preseason & his upside is there.
Big Rob still has trouble on the Edge with his pass rush.Everytime Sean Mcvay calls those 7 step drops with Stafford- Look Out !! He has to cover him up with at least Higbee or TE.Even the RB,but he wants the pocket contained.
Seeing it at the Bears game - WTF.

McClendon might be ready,so there is depth at the least if The Rams wait. There O’Line coaching staff did well.Wonder what’s next for ZAK ????? He has been with Mcvay from the beginning light be the TE’s coach ?? Wouldn’t surprise me.
- He does an excellent job teaching them how to block . He has run the Show & even stepped in as TE’s coach for a couple games when Thomas went back to RB’s coach ??

not sure what you thought about the trade The Rams made to give up 2 2nd round picks,but Brandon Fiske sure was a nice addition.
Now in 2025 the price is being paid with interest.
I think that they will draft offense with the first pick. Probably WR. Unless there is a TE that can start day one then I think they should use the first pick on a player/position that will immediately help next season. With the Rams grabbing Forbes late in the year I think it puts CB further down the priority list. Don't see them using first pick on ILB or RB so to me through process of elimination they go with WR first. I'm not sure if they stay put or trade down but I can see it go either way.

He was definitely balling out in college. Whats crazy is that team had Daniels, Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr. All those players are bonafide studs. LSU has a great track record of generating good NFL talent.

Man oh man, love Fiske but wish we had a 2nd round pick. We'd have much more flexibility there but it is what it is. Hopefully the Rams find a way to knock the draft out of the park again.

I didn’t want that DT from Texas & was glad Les Snead lol at him !! The Rams needed a DE. I did like a couple of those CB’s as well,especially with The Rams not signing Whiterspoon.Still couldn’t believe that didn’t bring him back for training camp & no one signed him either. - St.Brown got the best of him,but his strength wasn’t cover Across the middle zone.
Anyways a lot there,but am interested in your view after the season is all said & done.

My draft thoughts are well known.
No to the OT over Verse, he was my #1 target no matter where we picked.
I didn't want Bowers or Nix.
I wanted the Edge in the 1st we could go DT later like we did, also said this leading up to the draft, it made more sense to get the top notch edge first to me and the DT after.
What an insane offense. And all of them being borderline pro bowlers in their first season. Makes me want Mason Taylor in this draft.
