Been a shit season so far and I've accepted that. I think it's time for our front office to realize the importance of retooling through the draft; as fun as the splash offseason via FA acquisition is, it takes a toll on long-term success. McVay is on the verge of a losing season and that's an opportunity for him to adapt his personnel / change his way of thinking.

That said, don't have much to vent; I have Dortmund and other leisurely activities that keep me sane.

The defense did it's job though in the end. With 1:24 left they stopped them basi what on the 5 or 8 wteva that should be game. How many times can we send them out there realistically with no pass rush they aren't machines Tex. 3 three and outs in the 4th quarter so just the 4th alone the defense gassed let alone the rest of the game. The offense couldn't give them any rest at all. It's literally pop Warner.
I don't know how much more credit I could have given the defense in my post. They held up until the last drive - that's a fact. They gave up the touchdown on the Bucs' final drive of the game. I know they aren't robots, that they get tired, make mental mistakes but the scheme definitely didn't help. When professional analysts who have played the game are scratching their heads and clowning on our scheme in that moment, I'm not sure what there is to argue.

Well, it's sure as hell looks over after today's shit show.

This is one of the absolute weirdest NFL seasons I can remember in terms of teams that were powerhouses last season just falling off a cliff. Then there are the surprise teams that are good that I didn't expect.
How the Rams offense got so bad, so fast, it's mind blowing. 3-5 isn't what I expected for sure.

My favorite is the play calling by McSuck.......sideline pass to Kupp on the right = -1 yard, Akers run to any portion of the field = -2 yards.........sideline to Kupp on the left = -4 yards. 3rd and long, run up the middle for = +2 yards........over and over and over!

I honestly am starting to think McVay has 4 Pass plays on a card and 3 runs. He is like a bad version of Techno Bowl.

Definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. This is the Rams of 2022....any team incompetent enough to keep Bobby Evans in the lineup is basically telling us all, "We don't care."
Fear the WR Screen!

Last team to follow up a Superbowl win with a losing season?
Tampa Bay Bucs in 2003

Certainly looks like Rams could have a losing season Dieter

My last vent is more of a question. What is with the stupid ass questions these reporters ask McVay after a loss like this? "What were you thinking when Cooper is scoring on that long pass play?"

What the fuck do you think he was thinking?! How about you ask him why Bobby Evans continues to be starting on the o line? Or why he gets away from Henderson when he's actually being productive? Why he hasn't done anything schematically (like use 12 personnel) to help the offensive line? What the fuck Liam Coen actually does since he obviously doesn't call plays?

Between the scheme on both sides of the ball, the personnel choices on the OL, the Rams almost feel like a boxer on the take. The NFL looks and feels weird to me all over the board. Our team right now, looks almost…..almost as bad as Spagnualo ( sp) years. How can a wunderkind field this kind of offensive futility? How is there absolutely no improvement from 1 week to the next!

Good question TXRam. I've tried to call in to Rams Post Game hosted by "Locked On Rams" Travis Rogers, but have yet to have my call answered, even after being on hold 45 minutes, to ask that very question. I'm sure us fans are not the only ones to see how bad Evans is.

The only thing I can think of why they keep playing him is his familiarity with the play book and line calls. After his deplorable OL play today maybe they finally sit his ass down.

Because by his own admission and admission of some of his players, he doesn't change ANYTHING week over week. He has them prepare the same, regardless of opponent. If the game plan works, it works. If it fails, it fails. He's so determined that his offensive scheme is going to work that all it takes is proper execution. If properly executed, his offense will beat anyone's defense - even if that defense is meant to counter your exact offense. It's just bizarre thinking but explains a lot - his commitment to the 11 personnel, the offensive line neglect, infatuation with skill players and why when things are going bad they're REALLY bad. No adjustments week over week, much less half over half. Insanity at it's finest.

Rams GDT for the real vent thread

They are chuckling at our D strategy on Sunday Night Football. Horrible strategy by Morris. Our O sucks, but that D strategy on that drive should get you fired
Dammit....
if they keep that up no one will want to hire Raheem away from us.... :laugh4:
