I watch that game a couple times a year. The defense of course, but we ran the ball great in that game. I miss that type of offensive football.
Our OLs were always dominant in those days.

Jones had 22 sacks in 1964 and 1968. Either season could be on this list. Good call.Deacon Jones 1967 or 1968. Most sacks by a Rams player in a single season, and for the no 1 defense in the league.
Bob Waterfield's 1945 season as a rookie was really something. Led the league in passing TDs and yards per attempt as a QB. Was also the team's place kicker and led the league in extra points. Was also the team's punter and finished fourth in the NFL in punting average. Was also a defensive back and finished second in the league in interceptions with six. Then he capped it all off with being named league MVP, winning the NFL title and the Rams making him the highest paid player in the game.
#7 All-Time on the single season yards from scrimmage list. SJ, Marshall and McCaffrey are the only 3 among the top 10 who didn't gain 1600 of it on the ground.Steven Jackson in 2006 was pretty impressive for me. Literally the only reason to watch the Rams that entire season.

Faulk #2 (2,429) 1381 rushing; 1048 receiving (87 rec)
McCaffrey #3 (2392) 1387 rushing; 1005 receiving (116 rec)
SJ #7 (2334) 1528 rushing; 806 receiving (90 rec)
SJ was 1 of 26 guys to gain 15,000 yards from scrimmage in a career. 18 running backs, 8 receivers.....and the Rams have 4 of the 26! Marshall (#5), Dickerson (#18), Ike (#19) and SJ (#23) with Ellard (#38) and Holt (#42) in the top 50. Impressive.

Not true. I believe @VegasRam was in his 20s back then.Seems to me Norm Van Brocklin should be in there somewhere. I Know, none of us were alive yet, but the guy holds the single game yards passing record with 554 on sept 28 1951 and took the Rams to a championship. He had a pretty good year in 1951.
That 1979 D (#7) held Seattle to minus 7 total yards on Nov. 4th that year.
It’s also a fun watch. The Rams played 5 RBs: Windell Tyler, Lawrence McCutcheon, Eddie Hill, Elvis Peacock, and Cullen Bryant.

How fun would it be to watch Donald have one full year before he retires with another DLineman that needs to be double teamed every play. Suh was the closest to that but he was well beyond his peak in 2018.
Top 5 or 6? I remember that interview and Donald was already in the top 2 at that time, and arguably already #1. I wonder if Sapp put himself above Donald in that list. As great as Sapp was, I doubt any GM would take him ahead of Donald if they were in the same draft. Sapp also said at the time, IIRC, that he thought Donald needed to be better in his run D.I do know that Warren Sapp in an interview listed AD as one of the top 5 or 6 DT's in NFL history, and possibly moving up with every season he played from then on (two years ago).
No comparison.Top 5 or 6? I remember that interview and Donald was already in the top 2 at that time, and arguably already #1. I wonder if Sapp put himself above Donald in that list. Sapp's somewhat backhanded compliments came off as very self-serving to me.
Sapp said that Donald was already better than him, EXCEPT when stopping the run. The interview I heard with Sapp said AD was 4th or 5th best and was moving up.Top 5 or 6?
