Yeah Brown did good considering other than Higs he didn't have much to work with. Hopefully they give the new guy a toy.Didn’t Higbey just have his best year? How much better could Brown have done with what he had to work with in the TE room?

Dude just got a promotion to OC. I think that answers your question.Do we really know if this is that big of a loss? He has been the RB coach since 2020, have our running backs really performed that great in that time frame? Akers has shown some flashes but has never stopped 800 yards in a season, Henderson never turned into anything that great... I feel like we keep assuming he is a good coach because that's what McVay keeps telling everybody, but where are the results? Gurley proved that a RB can have success in this offense. I know the blocking hasn't always been that great, but I wonder if that is the entire problem, or if maybe part of it is that Brown hasn't lived up to his press clippings.
Ya but - they all forgot about Raheem....McVay’s Rams…
We go 5-12 and our staff still gets poached

Thought it was a Raheem Morris hire? Fwiw - the interesting thing to me will be how the coaching staff will fill out.Brown Has Never Called Plays and still won't in Carolina
I like Thomas Brown and I believe he's an very good RB Coach and I understand he wanted the title, but Frank Reich will be calling the plays and McVay could have promoted Brown to OC, but went with Mike LaFleur instead. Again good for Brown to garner the OC title, however, hopefully he'll get a chance to call plays down the road.
Interesting to see where McVay goes as last year they dipped into college with Samples, but that didn't work out well and Brown was given the opportunity to hire his replacement and failed with the Samples hire FWIW.
Cant blame Brown for that. Hopkins has been an abject failure since he was drafted. Heck, Brown got more out of him than Wes Philips ever didHopkins is practically the poster boy for untapped potential. Rams gave never gotten nearly the production fully expected from Hopkins when drafted.
Is that ALL on Hopkins? I don’t think so.
No.Thought it was a Raheem Morris hire?
I think if he was progressing at all McVay, who was touted as a master at using TE when he was hired, would have figured out how to get more. He hasn’t really bulked up like I thought he should and his blocking is lame. Do, yes, I think that is on him. Your not taking reps from Higbey with what he has put on tape.Hopkins is practically the poster boy for untapped potential. Rams gave never gotten nearly the production fully expected from Hopkins when drafted.

I don't think this is true. Most overrated coach on this staff by far.Well, just to keep things in perspective, Brown has proven to be an outstanding RB coach
IDK - someone posted here there were 2 Raheem Morris hires that just got fired.No.
McVay gave Brown the responsibility of finding / recommending the RB hire. Obviously, McVay had to approve.
OK. McVay had his Defensive Coordinator pick his Running Backs coach.IDK - someone posted here there were 2 Raheem Morris hires that just got fired.
You know , you might want to do your research though & look at the connections & relationships before you start to Blue Font.I think I might have thought the same as you until I checked out what a poster on here was saying.OK. McVay had his Defensive Coordinator pick his Running Backs coach.
The Assistant Grounds-keeper will be selecting the new Special Teams Coordinator ... because ... special teams are played ... on the ground?
