On Monday I was trying to figure out how, we as a group, got through those 1-15, 2-14 seasons

In 99 we lost to the Titans. Then we lost to the Lions for a second in a row. Good thing over reacting on the Internet wasn’t a thing yet. Shit happens, everyone loses along the way to the super bowl.

Yeah no doubt. I overreacted in the bar, pounding three extra shots and polishing off a plate of nachos I shoulda left alone.

New Orleans defense is even worse than the Rams. They're not the ones I'm worried about.

When the Rams play a defense good enough to stop Todd Gurley and force Jared Goff to make mistakes. Our defense has to rise to the occasion (ex 1999 NFC Champ against Bucs).

Minnesota can play spoiler in the playoffs. That is a totally different defense with Everson Griffen back in there.

The Vikings still have to make the playoffs, and we beat them already, so..

I had a flashback when we were
Rams 14
Saints 35
I did, what I did a few years ago, watching individual play of Aaron Donald....lol

Well no, they are 2nd.
Bears 5-3-0...... .625
Vikes 5-3-1...... .611
Packers 3-4-1... .438

And they are no sure thing for even a Wild Card

Percentage points out because of that tie, it matters not on Nov 6 anyway.

They will win their division. Even if the Bears are in it all the way to the end (they won't be); week 17 between them is in Minnesota. Mitch Trubisky doesn't go in there and win that kind of game.

This is the team Rams fans should hope we don't face. It took everything the Rams had on offense last time to outlast them....and they only won by seven. That Cooper Kupp vs Anthony Barr matchup won't be there again.

It's not 2017, and Cousins is the QB...Call me a doubter about them until Week 17

I see a rematch with the Saints in the NFC Championship Game where the winner goes to the Super Bowl!
:yess:

Yeah. That's actually the reason they play a championship game.
Haha. Sorry. I couldn't resist.

Depends on how you look at it/your expectations and dreams.
1) playoffs? PLAYOFFS? Yes, we're gonna make the playoffs.
2) super bowl? Now that's an entirely different conversation. Our defense isn't SB caliber.

So it comes down to this:
Did you come here to dance, or do you wanna get laid?

I agree it's not the end of the world and if someone said the Rams would be 8-1 at this point of the season, I would have taken it. But I think I took it harder because winning this game would have nearly assured the Rams of the #1 seed in the NFC. I'm proud that the Rams fought back from 35-14 to tie the game. Under Fisher, being down 7-0 was a death sentence.

I don't blame the refs for us losing the game but they definitely cost us several opportunities. The Hekker 1st down that wasn't and with the score 38-35, we punted but on third down, Cooper Kupp took a face mask (righ in front of a ref) and no flag. Our drive would have been extended with a chance to tie or take the lead. But we never got a chance.

The bright side might be that we are now hunters and not the hunted. Power rankings are meaningless unless you are in the NCAA.
