If Caleb Downs is sitting there at 13 do we draft him? Sonny Styles and C J Allen at LB could also be available when we pick. All violent players up front. NFC West is a violent Division and I'd be happy with any of them. Also the best Corner would be great as well.

Maybe the Rams go get Evans in FA. They tried before, and he'd be a monster with Stafford.

Then draft the fuck out of defense.
I would like to sign him (Evans) on 2- or 3-year deal. But I would also draft a WR with our second first round pick. The first pick would be a CB. I think Adam has one more year in him. After Adams leave, our new WR can be the 3rd WR. He will have one year to learn under Adams, Evans, and Puka.

We're better at safety than we are at corner. Unless a safety is a sure thing I'd go corner with the first pick. I heard Stafford wants to extend his contract for two more years. If they can get that deal done they can focus on filling out an already good roster. The offensive line is set. They can wait till day 2 to pick for depth. Use the two first rounders on a WR and CB. Maybe another CB in the 2nd. And tackle in the 3rd. We don't have a 4th round pick. Of course its entirely possible Les moves back to gain an extra 3rd and maybe 4th.

One of the reasons I like the idea of FA being used to plug holes on offense is that we can then use most of the early picks on defense.

Absolutely. In a draft lacking blue chip talents, he is very much one. You draft the blue chips if you can and figure it out later.

Fun fact: Tom Brady never won a SB without a top 8 scoring defense. One of the reasons I personally think Peyton Manning was the better QB. Brady is the GOAT but he got a bit lucky.
A bit lucky? He might be the GOAT but...

The AFC East sucked for 20 years, so they always had home field advantage and a bye week, Always.

Bilicheat cheated against the Rams in the first super bowl. Not only did he tape the plays beforehand but he mauled the Ram receivers so they could never get open and the fucking refs never called it.

And Brady should never have been in that first super bowl anyway because the refs called the tuck rule against the Raiders which gave them life in the AFC championship game when it should have ended right then and there.

Kyle Shanahan choked when he was OC with the Falcons in that super bowl. IIRC... they had a 28-3 lead and all they had to do was kick a field goal to (probably) ice the game with a 4 touchdown lead. Instead, with the falcons already in field goal range, then Ratboy called a pass and they were penalized and moved back, and then they were sacked on the next play and taken out of field goal range. Then Brady came storming back and tied it.

Then in McVays first super bowl... both offensive stars and MVPs Gurley and Kupp were injured, so they only scored 3 fucking points. The Rams were typically putting up 30 against everyone that year. How lucky can you get?

Lastly... as noted above... Bilicheat was an excellent defensive mind. He cheated when he could... but he knew how to attack the offense's weak points.

Yes I'm still disgusted about the above... rant over.

Shit looks so much better on that back end if they lock Dean up quick at the start. Corner would still be a need but at least the top dog is in place.

The reason the Rams didn't make it to the Super Bowl was the offense didn't execute in key spots and a ST's mistake.
