I wonder how much Ferguson will be used? He can be a mismatch with the right play calling. Match him up against a linebacker and his speed would give him an advantage. Match him up against a safety and his size would be an advantage. But it will be the first game of his career. Is he ready for prime time?

Nico is the single biggest mismatch in the Texans favor because we lack the CB1 you need to handle him. We have a bunch of CB2/3 types who for the most part have a lot to prove. So the key in this game is making Stroud shit his pants early and often in his drops. If Stroud has time we are gonna give up chunks in the pass game.

Verse is the single biggest mismatch in our favor, because he's going up against a rook LT. This is a nightmare matchup for Ersery in game one. If Verse dominates as expected we should see a domino effect up front, because our DL is loaded with threats.

Also I think for McVay the biggest thing will be staying balanced in his play calls. He tends to forget about the run game, and to his credit few are as good as he is at manufacturing drives with creative pass calls underneath when he needs to. But this is not the game to forget about the run. This is a playoff level opener.

I am eager to see how our ILBs fare vs Chubb. I expect the defensive front to own the line of scrimmage, which should mean our backers are running free to clean up behind them. But we really don't want Chubb to get rolling. Stop his ass early. I feel like stopping Chubb will be the single biggest determiner in whether we win this game, because if Stroud has to pass to move the chains he should get worn down by our rush.
I'm guessing that Shula will roll coverage over to Collins and force the other targets to beat them. I'd expect a decent game from their TE Schultz.

IMO, the Rams biggest mismatch is their entire DLine vs. the Texans OLine. They might have to reshuffle their OLine again due to an injury to their RG if he can't go. Hard to see how they'll be able to handle a lot of stunts. Hopefully there will be some crowd noise.

This is interesting, wonder what's going on with this move. Not sure what the rules are but maybe trying to protect him with the Whiners needing RB help if CMC can't go.

Nah, you can elevate a player 3 times during the season. Seems a bit early to use up one of those elevations before anyone gets hurt. Maybe they want to give him more looks at KR and not let Hunter be the returner in week one since he is a rookie. If Schrader does well, maybe he gets put on the active roster. If Alaric Jackson looks good this week, they may go back to only 9 OL and let some one go there, to give Schrader a spot as the full time KR.

Glad they elevated Schrader. I like this RB room a lot more with him in it.

If we elevated Schrader, who did we send down?
Or did we IR somebody?
And does anybody have the 47 player game day active list?
